We encourage you to set aside some time to explore New Orleans’ most ancient district. Journeying through the streets of the Vieux Carré, you’ll uncover the rich narratives of Louisiana’s Creole populace. Among U.S locations, Louisiana is exceptional. Enlightening tales about influential Creoles (comprising of West Africans, Native Americans, and Europeans) will illuminate the establishment of a distinctive culture, separating us from the rest of America’s southern territories.
While geographically in the southern United States, culturally, Louisiana could be considered the uppermost portion of the Caribbean. This guided experience is a discovery of Louisiana Creole; an in-depth probe into the cradle of jazz and zydeco, gumbo, and jambalaya.

Great time - Visit and story of the history of the Creoles very well constructed and interesting, our guide Muriel very friendly and attentive. Tours by Marguerite seems to be a small structure but as a result it offers very personalized and local booking support.
Furthermore, this is one of the rare visits in French for those who do not have such a good command of English. A great experience

Best guide ever. - Muriel, was the best guide I’ve come across. I made the mistake of choosing the tour in the French language. She went above and beyond by choosing to do the same tour in English three hours later. The knowledge she has of the people who inhabited the French quarter was extensive.

To do absolutely - A must do!!!! Lawson introduced us to the French Quarter and we learned a lot about New Orleans without this visit we would have completely missed the history of this city.

Experience not to be missed - Muriel is a learned person, who knows New Orleans perfectly. The visit was very informative. Muriel takes the time to answer each question, although it is superfluous to ask her any as she anticipates them with her complete and relevant explanations.
Very friendly, you don't see the time passing. I could have spent the day with him.

Visit the Old Square - Lawson was an excellent communicator on Creole history. He is passionate and made us have a good time.

To do without hesitation! - We visited New Orleans with Muriel who didn't skimp on the explanations and her time. This tour is well designed and original in its approach. You won't do many miles but the explanations are interesting and very informative. We recommend this tour which will allow you to discover Creole customs and the history of Louisiana. A passionate guide who passes on her knowledge.

Enthusiastic , knowledgeable guide - I cannot recommend Lawson's Creole French Quarter tour highly enough. After the tour, I saw the "Vieux Carre" in a whole new light and learned so much about the city's diverse populations. Take this tour and early on in your trip if you can!

Amazing walking tour!! - Lawson was a fantastic tour guide! He is so knowledgeable about New Orleans history, culture and geography. We did the tour in French as my husband grew up in France. Would definitely recommend, it was the perfect amount of time and we leaned so much!! Next time we’re in New Orleans, we’ll be back to do the tour in English!
