Situated west of the Mississippi River in the core of Plantation Country, the main residence, built in 1805, has been returned to its original state when it served dual roles as a family dwelling and the administrative center for the sugar plantation. Extend your visit with a walk around the grounds housing 12 building listed on the National Register.
Following your plantation visit, the next stop is in Westwego, Louisiana. Here you’ll have an opportunity to take a break with a self-funded sit-down lunch.
After refueling, prepare for a leisurely 90-minute cruise on a covered pontoon boat across the Cajun Swamp. Navigated by expert Captains, you’ll learn about the Louisiana Wetlands, its residents, and observe first-hand the lifestyle of the American Alligators.
