Additional Information

The excursion kicks off with a journey through the Bywater and Marigny districts, which boast of history, art, and captivating shotgun homes. Your certified tour leader will escort you along Esplanade Ave, previously dubbed “Creole Millionaires Row”. We’ll travel down the tree-canopied avenue, taking in the awe-inspiring architecture, crossing through Faubourg Treme and reaching Faubourg St. John. Following a leisurely bike ride in City Park, we’ll pause for a well-earned breather. Participants have the chance to buy beignets and café au lait at Cafe Du Monde.

We then trace the path of one of America’s oldest roads - Bayou Road, the very cradle of New Orleans. Ultimately we’ll navigate our way back via the historic French Quarter and the Marigny, appreciating the impressive views en route.

Knowledgeable, entertaining and a needed bit of exercise! - Fabulous experience on a small group bike tour that showed us there is so much more than the French Quarter and Garden District. Tanya was entertaining and brilliantly knowledgeable and made the experience complete. The bike tour took us away from the city centre and the mayhem of Mardi Gras for 3.5 hrs. Most interesting for me was the architecture in the suburbs. Loved it. The cycling felt very safe (biggest risk is the occasional pot hole). Interesting stop for refreshment along the way. Bikes are fine - NO is completely flat - state of the art bikes are not required!

Great tour! - I’ve done several bike tours (Victoria & Sydney), and it’s one of the best ways to see another side of any city, and the tour at Paved Paradise was no exception. We met Justin at the designated meeting place, did a quick spin around the lot to check for the bike fit, and we were off. Justin was a font of information being a New Orleans native and he took us way beyond what we had seen to date. We cycled past so many sights with a ton of stops along the way for city history and geography. Our personal favorite was New Orleans City Park with a stop at the Cafe Du Monde for their famous cafe au lait & beignet. So worth the price!!! The weather was brutal, but Justin was good about pacing the tour with shady stops either to give us some fun facts or to take pictures.

Must do for New Orleans - I can't believe I am the first reviewer. This is a must do when you're in New Orleans if you can ride a bike. These folks have great knowledge of the area and provide a great experience. We loved peddling our bikes and seeing parts of the town we wouldn't have naturally seen. We also ran into a few festivals that made the ride xtra special. If you can ride a bike this should be added to your visit no matter what is on your schedule. Our tour guide, Justin was so nice and considerate a cool gentle soul.
