Learn, cook, eat! - We had a great experience with Chef Erica: enjoyed the history of local cuisine, her personal cooking tips and, of course, a delicious meal. This was one of the highlights of our trip and a memorable experience which we highly recommend.

Highlight of Our Trip to New Orleans! - This cooking class was a highlight of our anniversary trip! We took the New Orleans Creole Class at Mardi Gras School of Cooking and can’t recommend it enough. Chef Mark was engaging, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about Louisiana cuisine. Tracy was so kind and welcoming—it set the tone for a great experience. We made classic Creole dishes: Corn and Crab Bisque, Shrimp Creole, and Pecan Pralines—each one was absolutely delicious. The kitchen was clean, well-organized, and climate controlled. (Bring a light jacket!) It's located near Jackson Square and Bourbon Street, but once you're inside, it's quiet and cozy. Before leaving, grab one of their T-shirts and seasoning blends—they’re perfect souvenirs. We’re already planning to come back next year!

Cook yourself a. 5-star meal! - Our chef Mark was very helpful!! I chose the traditions class for the dessert, but every course was delicious!! There were only 3 of us in the class, so we got lots of 1:1 instruction. We started by getting the chocolate bread pudding ready for the oven. Super easy! Then we peeled and deveined the shrimp-then we chopped the veggies for the jambalaya. Mark had already precut the chicken sausage and ham for the jambalaya. Mark gave great instructions as we prepared the shrimp and jambalaya. When it was time to eat, everything tasted like a 5 star restaurant!! The sauce of the shrimp and the dessert were my favorite!! Such a fun and educational time!!

Amazing - Amazing time cooking, learning about Cajun cuisine and developing skills to allow us to continue cooking at home. While 3 hours sounds long, it went by in a blink. By far the vest meal we had in NOLA.

Cajun Cooking - We have been to N.O. many times and wanted to do something different. This was GREAT. Erika was amazing. She not only gave us cooking tips but also gave us a lot of history (N.O., Cajun and Creole information). I would highly recommend this class.

A fun and social way to learn how to cook New Orleans dishes! - My family along with a few friends took a cooking class with Raymond. We had so much fun and learned so much! It was a highlight of our trip and would definitely recommend it! We actually ended up doing a second class that same week with a few other friends who arrived later that week because we raved about it so much.

Spicy Fun - The class was informative and fun. We made a shrimp dish, jambalaya and bread pudding. New Orleans is a town with spicy food which is hard for me, so be aware if you have trouble with hot, spicy food. But it did not take anything away from a great experience and a good time.
