A Must-See When in Southern Louisiana - From the lady at the tour ticket window to the extraordinary gift shop experience, this visit is highly recommended. If you've ever used Tabasco on anything, this self-guided tour of the family business is a good one. Interesting history as well as a walk though the production facility, beautiful garden grounds and taste tests of the multiple Tabasco varieties was fantastic. The lady working the sampler bar was insightful and helpful. Raspberry Chipotle was the Tabasco flavor being featured and the soft-serve jalapeno ice cream was outstanding.

Wow is all I can say! - Wow--the Tabasco tour was interesting, but I was really there for the "jungle gardens." I live in northern New Jersey, so to see camelias and other plants flowering in late December was wonderful--plus, roseate spoonbills, little blue herons, alligators...it was this amateur nature photographer's dream come true.

Hot sauce heaven permeates our culture more than you know. - Home of the original hot sauce did not disappoint! We did the self guided tour and really learned about the 'island' itself, salt, and how to make hot sauce. Easy self guided tour, but lots of signage to let you know what was happening. At the store you have the opportunity to try all their hot sauces, yes, there is more than one! Whew.. McAfee it to the end. Great flavors and all are different. Something that had been on our list to do, and glad we finally made it. We did not make the jungle tour though.

Fitting home for the world famous sauce - Our family enjoyed the joint experience of the Museum & Factory and Jungle Gardens. The museum is small but well presented and the factory provides real insight into the production of those fabulous bottles of sauce. The people working across the site seemed to have real pride in working there and likewise the barrels marking people's length of service show how invested the company is in the local community. Loads of lovely and fair priced gifts available. Tasting a must. The gardens are a worthy addition both well presented and providing an environment for Louisiana's varied wildlife picturesque and interesting . Highly recommend.

- Enjoyed the shops and the drive. So cool seeing Bird City and all the plants. Our group really enjoyed doing all the tour stops and seeing how Tabasco hot sauce is made. Loved the fact that it’s still in the original family. And they have so many new flavors we got to try them all, including jalapeño ice cream and raspberry chipotle ice cream which was quite tasty and refreshing.

Wonderful Food - We did one of the Avery Island cooking experiences. The cook Karen was wonderful and so was the food. My lovely wife, my son, and I learned things about Cajun cooking we did not know. "Laissez les bons temps rouler!"

Tabasco museum and restaurant visit - Check hours ahead of time. Make time for a nice meal at the restaurant - their food is great; and shop at the store - lots of great stuff you won’t get anywhere ekse. The tour is very informative and has made me/my family appreciate Tabasco products even more now that we’ve done the self-guided tour. Totally recommend!

Family fun - Very interesting. Factory doesn’t work on weekends. Disappointed we didn’t see it in action. Lots of history and grounds are beautiful.

Such a fun day - Louisiana bucket list - Since my last name is Avery and I love Tobasco Sauce you know we had to come. Tickets were easy to buy through TripAdvisor but you can also buy there. It is a self guided tour but you get a map and a couple mini bottles of Tabasco sauce. The museum is nice with lots of history but it's maybe only 45 -1hr if you read everything. There are 9 tour stops including the grow house and barrels. Look for photo ops at almost each stop and get your pic with a huge different flavored bottle. The Jungle gardens is fantastic you really could spend an entire day out there. You can walk or drive this part. We did see a baby gator and a black snake on the path so if your walking really watch your step. There is a restaurant which has a few items but it closes at 2:30 on Saturdays. The gift shop has all kinds of fun things including ice cream - we had jalapeño and raspberry. I would totally come back and bring guests. Only reason 4 not 5 stars is the Qrcodes didn't work because we didn't have apple or no service to connect. Android users out of luck.
