This verdant historic haven is bordered by the World Heritage Site of Humayun’s Tomb to the south and the historic Purana Qila to the north. The well-preserved ruins were originally constructed during the early Mughal era in the 16th century. In the early 20th century, the nursery and ruins were developed to serve as a site for cultivating trees and plants intended for the new capital city.
