Jal Mahal - Photo Stop at Jal Mahal (Water Palace) - Located near the cenotaphs of the maharanis of Jaipur and beautifully set in the watery expanse of Man Sagar, this dreamlike palace is believed to have been extensively restored, if not built, by Jai Singh II (1734).
Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind - Photo Stop at Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) - Jaipur’s most iconic landmark is an extraordinary pink-painted, delicately honeycombed structure that rises five stories high. Pashupatinath Temple - Pashupatinath Temple (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) is the most sacred Hindu temple in Nepal dedicated to Lord Shiva, established in the 5th century. With a two-tiered golden roof and silver door, it is considered one of the holiest shrines for Hindus. Although only Hindus are allowed inside, visitors can clearly view the temple and activities from the eastern bank of the Bagmati River.
Swayambhunath Temple - Swayambhunath Temple (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), situated atop a hill, is the oldest Buddhist shrine. From here, one can see almost the entire Kathmandu valley spread out below. Swayambhunath is an excellent place to observe religious harmony between Nepalese Buddhists and Hindus. The stupa is one of the most ancient in this region, attracting worshipers from diverse backgrounds.
