New Delhi - At 09:00 AM or your specified time, you will be picked up from the Airport/Hotel or your chosen location in Delhi/Gurugram/Noida. Our driver will greet you, and the 2-day sightseeing tour of Old & New Delhi will commence. Your tour guide will join you en route and assist you throughout both days.

Friday Mosque (Jama Masjid) - Today, explore the monuments of Old Delhi, including the Mughal mosque Jama Masjid (The Friday Mosque), the main mosque of Old Delhi. Commissioned by the fifth Mughal ruler, Shah Jahan, a renowned patron of Islamic architecture, whose most famous creation is the Taj Mahal in Agra. It is the largest mosque in India and is often considered the pinnacle of Indian mosque design due to its grandeur and size.

Chandni Chowk - After visiting Jama Masjid, hop onto a cycle rickshaw/tuk-tuk. Relax and enjoy the views as you pass by the vibrant and bustling bazaars of Old Delhi, while your guide explains their significance to the locals. Ride through Khari Baoli, Asia’s largest spice market, which has been around since the 17th century. Gain insights into the fascinating world of spices and their medicinal and health benefits. Build up your appetite as you take in the enticing sights and aromas at the famous Chandni Chowk.

Red Fort - Drive around and stop for photos at the Red Fort from the outside, as most of the building is occupied by the Indian Army. Therefore, you will view it from the outside and capture some pictures.

Raj Ghat - Next, visit Raj Ghat, a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation. It features a simple square platform of black marble, marking the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated following his assassination in 1948. A commemorative ritual takes place every Friday in his memory.

India Gate - Stop for photos at India Gate, a 140-foot-high gateway resembling the Arc-de-Triomphe, constructed as a War Memorial in honor of the 70,000 soldiers of the British Indian Army who lost their lives during the First World War.

Parliament House - Drive around for photos at The Parliament House, designed by British architects Edwin Lutyens and Herbert Baker. The Parliament houses the Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha, and a library hall, where the governance of a nation of 1.3 billion people takes place. The government of the world’s largest democracy convenes in the Parliament House.

Rashtrapati Bhavan - Drive around for photos at The Rashtrapati Bhavan, which was the Viceroy’s House before independence. The grandeur of the Rashtrapati Bhavan is multi-dimensional, with its vast mansion and breathtaking architecture. Few official residences of Heads of State worldwide can match the Rashtrapati Bhavan in terms of size, vastness, and magnificence.

Agrasen Ki Baoli - Leamigo - Agrasen ki Baoli, also known as Ugrasen ki Baoli, stands in the heart of Delhi as a relic from the past. This ornate stepwell, once a water reservoir, is a stunning example of splendid architecture and ancient engineering skills.

Delhi Sightseeing - Departure

New Delhi - At 09:00 AM, after breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel. Your driver and guide will meet you, and a sightseeing tour of New Delhi, focusing on temples, will begin. Throughout the day, you’ll be immersed in traditional Hindu and Indian culture, spirituality, and architecture.

Gurudwara Bangla Sahib - Start by visiting Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, a Sikh Temple located in the heart of the Capital City. It is one of the most important and sacred Sikh shrines. The temple is recognizable by its golden dome and tall flagpole. The grounds include the Gurudwara, a kitchen, a large (holy) pond, and an art gallery. As with all Sikh Gurudwaras, the concept of Langar (Community Kitchen) is practiced, and all people, regardless of race or religion, may eat in the Gurdwara kitchen (langar hall). The food is prepared by gursikhs who work there and also by volunteers who wish to help. Visitors are requested to cover their heads and not wear shoes. Anyone can volunteer at the Gurudwara.

Gandhi Smriti - Visit Gandhi Smriti (formerly known as Birla House or Birla Bhavan), a museum dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi. He was assassinated on these grounds on January 30, 1948, after campaigning against inter-communal violence. The house itself is where Gandhi spent his last 144 days. The exhibits include film footage, modern art, and rooms preserved just as Gandhi left them. You can also see homespun cotton khadi here, championed by Gandhi during the Independence movement.

Humayun’s Tomb - Next, visit Humayun’s Tomb, a world heritage site and the final resting place of the second Mughal Emperor Humayun. It is the first garden-tomb in the Indian subcontinent and was commissioned by Humayun’s chief consort, Empress Bega Begum, in 1565. The design of Humayun’s Tomb is typical of Mughal architecture with Persian influences. It is a renowned UNESCO HERITAGE SITE.

Lotus Temple - Next, visit the Lotus Temple, a Bahá’í House of Worship dedicated to the oneness of humanity and religion. It symbolizes the unity of mankind across all faiths. People from all religious backgrounds are welcome here. The temple is admired for its universal design in the form of a lotus flower and is inspired by the Teachings of the Bahá’í Faith, especially its tenets of the Oneness of God, the Oneness of Religions, and the Oneness of Mankind.

Qutub Minar - Finally, visit Qutub Minar, a world heritage site. The tall minaret was constructed in 1192 by Qutab-ud-din Aibak. It is an exquisite example of Indo-Islamic Afghan architecture and has impressively withstood the test of time. Surrounded by lush green gardens, Qutub Minar is a favorite destination for tourists. It is one of India’s most visited monuments.

New Delhi - In the evening, after the tour, you will be transferred to Delhi Airport or your desired location in Delhi. Your tour concludes here with sweet and wonderful memories of the temples and heritage sites of Delhi!
