Cycle past the Red Fort, a stunning fortification made of red sandstone, located at the edge of Old Delhi. As a UNESCO World Heritage site, it signifies the conclusion of the Mughal era in India.
- Friday Mosque (Jama Masjid) - Continue past Jama Masjid, India’s largest mosque, capable of accommodating over 25,000 worshippers in its expansive courtyard.
- Chandni Chowk - Travel back in time as you cycle through the lanes of Chandni Chowk, Delhi’s oldest market. Observe the ancient houses lining the streets, with their narrow staircases and small windows. Conclude the tour with a traditional North Indian breakfast (beverage not included).
- India Gate - For the next part of the journey, board your car and head to New Delhi. Visit the impressive War Memorial at India Gate and drive along Rajpath, India’s equivalent of the Champs Elysees.
- Rashtrapati Bhavan - View the grand Presidential Palace with its extensive gardens. It is among the largest residences of a Head of State globally.
- Humayun’s Tomb - Pass by Humayun’s Tomb, another UNESCO World Heritage site.
- Qutub Minar - Proceed to the southern outskirts of Delhi to the historic Mehrauli Archaeological site and admire the 240-foot-high Qutub Minar. Constructed in the 12th century, it is the tallest brick minaret in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage site.
At the conclusion of the tour, enjoy lunch (at your own expense) at a local restaurant.
