- Banke Bihari Temple - Guests will be collected from their hotel in Delhi for a two and a half hour journey to Vrindavan, located approximately 100 miles from Delhi.
Upon arrival in Vrindavan, a local guide will greet visitors and provide a tour of the town where Krishna spent his childhood. Vrindavan is home to over 5,000 temples. This tour includes visits to the two most renowned temples - the Bankey Bihari Temple and Prem Mandir Temple. The stunning idols of Krishna, his divine love Radha, and other maidens are truly captivating. Unlike other Hindu temples, the Bankey Bihari Temple does not have any bells, as it is believed that bells would disturb the sleep of Krishna, who is worshipped here in his child form.
- Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple - Following the temple visits, the tour continues to the nearby town of Mathura. Here, guests will visit the Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple, built on the site believed to be Krishna’s birthplace. Within the temple complex, there is a water pond where the infant Krishna was first bathed. Visitors can explore the six shrines of the temple, with the main shrine featuring beautiful 6-foot high idols of Krishna and Radha.
- Swaminarayan Akshardham - On the return drive to Delhi, there will be a stop at the Akshardham Temple. This temple is recognized in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s largest comprehensive Hindu temple. It took five years and 11,000 artisans and volunteers to complete, opening to the public in 2005. The walls of this ancient-style stone temple are adorned with intricately carved sculptures of flora, fauna, dancers, musicians, and Hindu deities. Constructed according to traditional Hindu architectural principles, the temple contains no ferrous metal. It features over nine domes, 230 intricately carved pillars, 148 life-sized elephants, and more than 20,000 idols.
After the Akshardham Temple tour, guests will be returned to their hotel.
