Sightseeing in Delhi

Qutub Minar - At 7:30 AM, the driver will pick you up from the hotel and take you directly to Qutub Minar. The origins of Qutub Minar are debated; some say it was built as a victory tower marking the start of Muslim rule in India, while others believe it served as a minaret for calling the faithful to prayer. Regardless, it stands as one of the finest monuments in India and the world.

Lotus Temple - The Lotus Temple, a stunning example of Bahai architecture, is located in Kalkaji, near New Delhi. Designed to resemble a lotus flower, the temple is constructed from marble, dolomite, cement, and sand. It welcomes visitors of all religions without restrictions.

India Gate - Designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens and completed in 1931, India Gate is a memorial honoring the 70,000 Indian soldiers who died in World War I. Situated on Rajpath, leading to the majestic Rashtrapati Bhawan, the gate stands 160 feet tall with a 138-foot arch.

Humayun’s Tomb - The Mughals introduced a love for gardens, fountains, and water features. Humayun’s Tomb, the first mature example of Mughal architecture in India, was built by the emperor’s widow, Haji Begum, in 1565 AD. Made of red sandstone, it marks the beginning of a new ornate style that culminated in the Taj Mahal.

Hauz Khas Village - Developed in the 1980s as an upscale residential and commercial area in South Delhi, Hauz Khas Village features domed tombs of Muslim royalty from the 14th to 16th centuries. It is now a popular tourist and commercial area with art galleries, boutiques, and restaurants. The tour concludes with a walk through Chandni Chowk, famous for its street food and shopping. Delhi to Jodhpur

Jodhpur Airport - After breakfast, depart for Jodhpur by flight. Jodhpur is renowned for its Desert Safari and camel rides, as well as its magnificent forts and palaces. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel.

Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum - Explore the royal city of Jodhpur, known as the Blue City due to its royal heritage. The museum displays stuffed leopards, a large symbolic flag given to Maharaja Jaswant Singh by Queen Victoria in 1877, and the Maharajas’ classic cars in the garden.

Mehrangarh Fort - Built in 1459 AD on a steep hill, Mehrangarh Fort is one of India’s finest, featuring intricately latticed windows in its residential apartments. The fort’s carved panels, porches, and elaborately decorated windows and walls bring medieval splendor to life. It houses collections of musical instruments, palanquins, royal costumes, furniture, and cannons.

Jaswant Thada - A cluster of royal cenotaphs in white marble, built in 1899 AD in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. The main cenotaph contains portraits of various Jodhpur rulers. After visiting these beautiful heritage sites, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Jodhpur to Jaisalmer

Jaisalmer - Depart for Jaisalmer early in the morning with the sunrise. Known as “The Golden City of India” due to its yellow sand and sandstone buildings, Jaisalmer is a must-visit. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and enjoy lunch before exploring the city.

Jaisalmer Fort - After breakfast, begin sightseeing with the world’s only living fort, Sonar Fort, located on the Trikuta Hills.

Salim Singh-ki Haveli - Built in 1815 by Salim Singh, the prime minister when Jaisalmer was the capital, this mansion is renowned for its unique architecture, featuring 38 beautifully carved balconies inspired by a dancing peacock. Constructed without cement or mortar, the stones are held together by iron rods.

Kothari’s Patwon Ki Haveli - The Patwon Ji ki Haveli is a significant architectural piece and the most important haveli in Jaisalmer. It was the first haveli built in Jaisalmer and consists of a cluster of five small havelis. Commissioned by Guman Chand Patwa in 1805, it is the largest and most elaborate. The havelis are known as the ‘mansion of brocade merchants’ due to the family’s trade in gold and silver threads. Despite government use, the haveli retains its paintings and mirror work. The main gateway is distinctively brown, contrasting with the yellow sandstone.

Desert National Park - In the evening, experience the breathtaking beauty of the Sam Sand Dunes. Enjoy the sunset from a camel’s back and a cultural evening at the dunes before returning to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Jaisalmer to Delhi & Departure
