Hawa Mahal, also known as the Palace of Wind, was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. This multi-story building features 953 windows or ‘Jharokhas’ adorned with intricate designs. Within the Hawa Mahal complex, there is a small museum housing famous items like miniature paintings and ceremonial armor.
