- Mehrauli Archaeological Park - Located in Delhi, adjacent to the Qutub Complex, Mehrauli Archaeological Park was historically the first of Delhi’s eight cities. Covering over 200 acres, it showcases India’s rich heritage from the Pre-Islamic to the Colonial era. The park features numerous historically significant monuments, including remnants of Delhi’s first city, the capital of the Tomar rulers in the 11th century.
- Qutub Minar - The Qutub Minar is a minaret and “victory tower” that is part of the Qutb complex, situated at the site of Delhi’s oldest fortified city, Lal Kot, established by the Tomar Rajputs. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Mehrauli, South Delhi, it is one of the city’s most popular tourist attractions, primarily constructed between 1199 and 1220. Entry to the monument is not included in the tour, but it can be added to your itinerary for an additional fee if time permits.
- Sanjay Van - Sanjay Van is a city forest located in South Delhi near Vasant Kunj. This densely wooded area is a sanctuary for bird enthusiasts and nature lovers. A long trail to Qila Lal Kot in Sanjay Van is secluded and lined with keeker trees and shrubs. Known as the first Red Fort, the 11th-century Lal Kot, with its six-foot-high fortification wall, was built in 1060 AD by Rajput ruler Anangpal Tomar, whose ancestors settled in the Aravalli Hills. Today, nature enthusiasts enjoy cycling along the six-kilometer track of the South Delhi ridge to escape the bustling city life.
- Jain Mandir Dadabari - Considered the oldest Jain temple in Delhi, it is dedicated to Jain Acharya Dada Gurudev Shri Manichari Jinchandra Suriji, whose last rites were performed here in Sambat 1223. Originally constructed in the late Mughal period, it has since been rebuilt. The birthday of Dada Gurudev is celebrated on Bhadra Sukla Saptmi and Astmi, followed by a large gathering on Kartik Purnima.
