Curious about how individuals thrive and live in slums? Join this walk organized by Pete For India Travel to support a sister NGO and registered non-profit organization, PETE India (Providing Education to Everyone). A significant 80% of the proceeds aid our projects. Participants will be guided through the intricate network of narrow streets and alleys in a West Delhi slum for two hours. The guide will demonstrate how millions navigate their daily lives in Delhi’s slums. During the visit, there is an option to enjoy traditional tea with a family, who may share their personal stories of resilience and life in the slums. The tour includes visits to the five centers funded by the tour proceeds, where participants can meet students and teachers. The purpose of this walk is not to “visit” or turn poverty into a “tourist attraction,” but to foster an exchange of experiences, offering locals a unique chance to engage with foreigners if they choose.
