- Friday Mosque (Jama Masjid) - Discover and appreciate the monuments of Old Delhi, including Jama Masjid (The Friday Mosque), a congregational mosque commissioned by the fifth Mughal ruler, Shah Jahan. He was a renowned patron of Islamic architecture, with the Taj Mahal being his most famous work. It is the largest mosque in India, and due to its grand size, it is often considered the pinnacle of Indian mosque design.
- Chandni Chowk - Enjoy a rickshaw ride to one of Delhi’s oldest markets. Old Delhi’s main bustling wholesale market offers a full medieval bazaar experience. During Shah Jahan’s reign, a tree-lined canal ran through its center, reflecting the moon. Thus, the name “Chandni Chowk,” meaning “Moonlight Square,” was born.
- Red Fort - Drive around and stop for photos at the Red Fort from the outside, as 70% of the building is occupied by the Indian Army. Therefore, you will view it from the outside and capture some pictures.
- Raj Ghat - Visit Raj Ghat, which marks the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated following his assassination in 1948. A commemorative ritual takes place every Friday in his memory.
- India Gate - Pause for photos at India Gate, a War Memorial honoring the soldiers who lost their lives during the First World War. Stroll along the broad avenue and enjoy the refreshing breeze.
- Rashtrapati Bhawan - Drive around for photos at Rashtrapati Bhavan, the official residence of the President of India. Its vast mansion and architecture are breathtaking. Few official residences of Heads of State worldwide can match Rashtrapati Bhavan in terms of size, vastness, and magnificence.
- Parliament House - Drive around for photos at The Parliament House, where the government of the world’s largest democracy convenes to manage a nation of 1.3 billion people.
- Gurudwara Bangla Sahib - Next, visit Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, one of the most important and sacred Sikh shrines. The grounds include the Gurudwara, a kitchen, a large (holy) pond, a school, and an art gallery. As with all Sikh Gurudwaras, the concept of Langar (Community Kitchen) is practiced, and all people, regardless of race or religion, may eat in the Gurdwara kitchen (langar hall). The food is prepared by Gur Sikhs and volunteers. At the Gurdwara, visitors are requested to cover their heads and not wear shoes. Anyone can volunteer at the Gurudwara.
- Agrasen Ki Baoli - Leamigo - Agrasen Ki Baoli is one of Delhi’s oldest monuments and is one of the best-preserved Baolis (stepwells) in the city. This stepwell from the 10th century features ornate stone details, including soaring arched walls and alcoves.
- Qutub Minar - Finally, visit Qutub Minar (a world heritage site). The tall minaret was constructed in 1192 by Qutab-ud-din Aibak and later completed by his successor, Iltutmish. The soaring conical tower is an exquisite example of Indo-Islamic Afghan architecture and has impressively withstood the test of time. This magnificent masterpiece is surrounded by lush green gardens, providing an ideal leisurely spot for visitors. Each of the five stories and the tower of Qutub Minar has unique designs, standing mightily as it has throughout history.
- New Delhi - After your tour, you will be driven back to the hotel. Your tour concludes with delightful memories of Delhi.
