Friday Mosque (Jama Masjid) - Constructed by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan between 1644 and 1656, this mosque was inaugurated by its first Imam, Syed Abdul Ghafoor Shah Bukhari. Located in the Mughal capital of Shahjahanabad (now Old Delhi), it served as the imperial mosque for the Mughal emperors until the empire’s fall in 1857.

Chandni Chowk - Built in the 17th century by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan and designed by his daughter, Jahanara, this market was originally divided by canals (now closed) to reflect moonlight. It remains one of India’s largest wholesale markets.

Raj Ghat - Raj Ghat is a memorial complex in Delhi, India. The first memorial was dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, featuring a black marble platform marking the site of his cremation on 31 January 1948, with an eternal flame at one end.

India Gate - The foundation stone of India Gate was laid by His Royal Highness, the Duke of Connaught, in 1921, and it was designed by Edwin Lutyens. The monument was dedicated to the nation 10 years later by the then Viceroy, Lord Irwin. Another memorial, Amar Jawan Jyoti, was added after India’s independence.

Rashtrapati Bhavan - The foundation stone of Parliament House was laid on 12 February 1921 by H.R.H. the Duke of Connaught. The building took six years to complete, with the opening ceremony conducted on 18 January 1927 by the then Governor-General of India, Lord Irwin.

Gurudwara Bangla Sahib - Built by Raja Jai Singh, a 17th-century ruler, the eighth Sikh guru, Guru Har Krishan, stayed here during his visit to Delhi in 1664, providing aid and fresh water from the well to those suffering from a smallpox and cholera epidemic. The waters are reputed to have healing properties.

Lotus Temple - The Lotus Temple in Delhi, a Baháʼí House of Worship, was dedicated in December 1986. Designed by Iranian-Canadian architect Fariborz Sahba, its distinctive lotus flower shape and nine-sided design symbolize purity, peace, and the Baháʼí belief in the unity of humankind. Construction began in 1980, and the temple was built using white marble from Greece, opening its doors to people of all faiths for prayer and meditation on January 1, 1987.
