- Red Fort - The Red Fort is a historic fortress located in Delhi, India. It served as the primary residence for the emperors of the Mughal dynasty for almost 200 years, until 1856. Situated in the heart of Delhi, it houses several museums. Besides being the home of the emperors and their families, it was the ceremonial and political hub of the Mughal state and the venue for significant regional events.
- India Gate - India Gate, originally known as the All India War Memorial, is a war memorial positioned along the Rajpath, on the eastern edge of New Delhi’s “ceremonial axis,” formerly known as Kingsway. It commemorates 70,000 soldiers of the British Indian Army who lost their lives between 1914 and 1921 during the First World War in various locations including France, Flanders, Mesopotamia, Persia, East Africa, Gallipoli, and other regions in the Near and Far East, as well as the Third Anglo-Afghan War. The names of 13,300 servicemen, including some from the United Kingdom, are inscribed on the gate. Although a war memorial, India Gate’s architectural style resembles that of a triumphal arch, similar to the Arch of Constantine in Rome, and is often compared to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris and the Gateway of India in Mumbai. Designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, a simple structure was added beneath the towering Memorial Archway in 1972, following the Bangladesh Liberation War, featuring a black marble plinth with a reversed rifle, topped by a war helmet, and surrounded by four eternal flames.
- Birla Mandir Temple (Lakshmi Narayan) - The Laxminarayan Temple, also known as the Birla Mandir, is a Hindu temple largely dedicated to Laxminarayan in Delhi, India. Laxminarayan typically refers to Vishnu, the Preserver in the Trimurti, also known as Narayan, when accompanied by his consort Lakshmi. The temple, inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi, was constructed by Jugal Kishore Birla between 1933 and 1939. The side temples are devoted to Shiva, Krishna, and Buddha. It was the first large Hindu temple built in Delhi. Spanning 7.5 acres, the temple is adorned with numerous shrines, fountains, and a spacious garden featuring Hindu and Nationalistic sculptures, and also includes Geeta Bhawan for discourses. It is a major attraction in Delhi, drawing thousands of devotees during the festivals of Janmashtami and Diwali.
- Gurudwara Bangla Sahib - Gurudwara Bangla Sahib is one of the most prominent Sikh gurdwaras, or Sikh houses of worship, in Delhi, renowned for its association with the eighth Sikh Guru, Guru Har Krishan, and the pool within its complex, known as the “Sarovar.” Initially constructed as a small shrine by Sikh General Sardar Bhagel Singh in 1783, who oversaw the building of nine Sikh shrines in Delhi that year during the reign of Mughal Emperor Shah Alam. It is located near Connaught Place, New Delhi, on Baba Kharak Singh Marg, and is easily identifiable by its golden dome and tall flagpole.
