- Friday Mosque (Jama Masjid) - The Masjid e Jahan Numa, more commonly known as the Jama Masjid of Delhi, ranks among the largest mosques in India. This magnificent mosque in Old Delhi represents the final architectural masterpiece of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, featuring a courtyard that can accommodate 25,000 worshippers. Constructed by Shah Jahan between 1650 and 1656 at a cost of one million rupees, it was inaugurated by Imam Syed Abdul Ghafoor Shah Bukhari from Bukhara.
- Fatehpuri Mosque - Built in 1650 by Fatehpuri Begum, one of Shah Jahan’s wives, Fatehpuri Masjid is located at the western end of Chandni Chowk in Delhi. This 17th-century mosque is named after Fatehpuri Begum, the wife of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. The Buland Darwaza (Victory Gate), standing 54 meters tall, leads to the mosque’s main entrance.
- Digambar Jain Temple - Shri Digambar Jain Lal Mandir is the most renowned and oldest Jain temple in Delhi. Situated directly across from the Red Fort in the historic Chandni Chowk and Old Delhi area, the temple is notable for its avian veterinary hospital, known as the Jain Birds Hospital, located in a separate building behind the main temple. A Jain temple, or Derasar, serves as a place of worship for Jains, the followers of Jainism.
- Gauri Shankar Temple - The Gauri Shankar Temple, an 800-year-old Hindu temple, is located near the Digambar Jain Lal Mandir on the main Old Delhi road in Chandni Chowk. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, it is one of the most significant temples for Shaivites and houses an 800-year-old lingam. Positioned next to the Digambar Jain temple and the Gurudwara Sis Ganj, each offers a unique experience: one austere, the other vibrant and colorful.
- Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib - Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib is one of the nine historical Gurdwaras in Delhi. Initially constructed in 1783 by Baghel Singh, it commemorates the martyrdom site of the ninth Sikh Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur. Located in Chandni Chowk, the Gurudwara marks the spot where Guru Teg Bahadur was beheaded by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb for refusing to convert to Islam. The current building was erected in 1930, preserving the tree under which Guru Teg Bahadur was executed and the well where he bathed.
- St. Stephen’s Church - St. Stephen’s Church is situated on Church Mission Road in Delhi. Built in 1862 by Anglican missionaries and DPW Engineers, it showcases Italian Gothic architectural style. The church is part of the Church of North India Diocese of Delhi.
