Day 1: Chennai to Delhi by Flight + City Tour and Drive to Agra (L,D)

Deejohn Holidays India Tours - Begin your journey with a pickup at 5 am or according to your flight schedule from your hotel in Chennai, and transfer to the airport for your flight to Delhi. Arrive at Delhi Airport around 9:30 am, and embark on a half-day city tour of Delhi. In New Delhi, explore the 11th-century Qutab Minar Tower, constructed by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty, who took control of Delhi in 1206. Visit the India Gate, a tribute to Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the Afghan War, and drive past significant government buildings, including the President’s House and Parliament House, dating back to the British Raj era. In the early evening, travel to Agra, approximately a 3-hour journey via expressway.

Day 2: Agra City Tour and Drive to Jaipur (B,L,D)

Agra Fort - Depart from your hotel at 6 am for a sunrise visit to the renowned “monument of love,” The Taj Mahal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site (closed on Fridays). After breakfast, explore Agra Fort and then proceed to the historic walled city of Jaipur. Founded by Maharaja Jai Singh II, this ‘pink city’ is thoughtfully designed according to the Shilpa-Shastra, an ancient Hindu architectural guide. The city’s historic palaces and forts have witnessed numerous royal processions and grand splendor. Additionally, visit Fatehpur Sikri, acclaimed as the world’s most perfectly preserved ghost town. Built by Akbar in the late 16th century, it was deserted after just 14 years, yet the elegant structures of this remarkable walled city remain intact today.

Day 3: Jaipur City Tour and Drive to Delhi (B,L)

The pickup will be at 5 am or corresponding to your flight schedule from any location in Chennai. We’ll then proceed to the Chennai airport for your flight to Delhi. Upon arriving in Delhi, we’ll tour the city, visiting landmarks such as the India Gate and Qutub Minar, followed by lunch. Next, we will head to Agra using the expressway. In Agra, we’ll explore the Taj Mahal, then have a lunch break. Subsequently, we have planned a visit to the Agra Fort and some shopping time in Agra. Further, we’ll head over to Jaipur to explore the Amber Fort and the City Palace. After taking in the sights of the city, we would journey back to Delhi to catch a flight to your next destination.
