Unforgettable 4 day Poonhill trek with Raju - We were very happy to have Raju accompany us on our 4-day Poonhill hike. We are not professional hikers, so having an experienced, thoughtful, patient companion like Raju to guide and introduce us to the mountains, forests, trees, animals and local culture was truly a blessing. 4 days with favorable weather and clear blue skies were a wonderful gift to enjoy the scenery of the majestic and enchanting Himalayas. 18 Day Trek through Mustang, Manang and Ghorepani - Many of the reviews written for Raju here speak of the same thing: his unfaltering kindness, depth of experience and priceless knowledge of the area that only comes from living as long as he has in Annapurna. We would very much echo these sentiments! Rather, it is worth explaining the key thing (we found) that sets Raju apart from other guides on the ABC. That is, how attentive Raju is. When you wake up he is in the dining area ready to greet you, communicate to the kitchen you are ready for breakfast. He then explains the day to you and makes sure the tea house is happy for your departure. On the walk he always checks in and manages pace—taking you to the best spots for luncheon and finally your stay. Dinner, bedding, and all other of your requests under the setting sun are sought to, and only then does he attend to his own needs. The cycle repeats, with your interests always the top priority of his. Full-Day Hike in Pokhara with Raju - I recently did a full-day hike in Pokhara (about 9 hours), and I couldn’t have asked for a better guide than Raju. From start to finish, he was incredibly knowledgeable about the trails, local culture, and the natural surroundings. What made the experience truly great was how attentive and patient he was throughout the day. Raju always took time to explain interesting things along the way, whether it was about the landscape, villages, or local plants and his passion for the area really added to the experience. He knew exactly where the best viewpoints and photo spots were, and he also picked out ideal places to take breaks, which made the long hike feel very manageable. Amazing 4 day journey with Raju to Poon Hill - My wife and I went on a 4 day trek with Raju in the Annapurna Conservation Area and we had an amazing time. We let Raju know that we were on a tight budget and he did a great job selecting guesthouses and making sure we were able to take the bus to and from the region. Our journey started in Pokhara where Raju met us bright and early at our hotel. We then took a taxi to the bus station and from there hopped on the local bus for a 4 hour journey to the town of Hille. Here we disembarked the bus and began our trek to Ulleri. The journey went: Day 1 - Hille to Ulleri Day 2 - Ulleri to Ghorepani Day 3 - Ghorepani to Poon Hill (sunrise) to Sitkyu Day 4 - Sitkyu to Ghandruk Not only was Raju a pleasure to hike with but he was also great company and conversation. Each day when we arrived in a village, he gave us time to rest and offered to tour us around the village to take pictures and tell us some history about the village and Nepal overall. He did a great job adhering to our budget and made sure both my wife and I were comfortable the entire journey. He set is trekking pace to match ours and ensured we had enough blankets each night to stay warm. We couldn’t appreciate his time more and would highly recommend him to anyone looking to hike in the Himalayas. He has many years of experience in different regions and all the locals seem to know him well. 10/10 outstanding experience.

Australia Camp! Stairs, stairs, stairs!!! - Raj picked us up at our hotel, spent the day trekking to Australia camp. Raj was knowledgeable, kind and very easygoing! He set the pace based on our levels of fitness/unfitness - he really looked after us! I had the best experience and look forward to coming back sometime to trek with Raj again!

Day I’ll never forget - This was a day l will never forget. Raju is kind, caring, and made me feel safe throughout. He is so knowledgeable about the landscape so that the experience is cultural, ecological and adventurous. The hike itself is absolutely stunning. Pictures don’t fully illustrate just how awe-inspiring it is. I hope to return and will look up Raju again.

Amazing Trek up to Mardi Himal Basecamp! - Raju was a fantastic guide for my first big hike which I chose to do up the Mardi himal trail from Pokhara. He set a perfect pace and was extremely knowledgeable - being able to answer any questions I had about the trail, the mountains, animals, plants and life in Nepal. Along the way we saw jaw-dropping views of Rhododendron forests, Annapurna and Fishtail. The stays in tea houses a long the way were very comfortable with great food, and Raju even very kindly made me a fruit platter after every meal! I would highly recommend Raju for your trek in Nepal!
