10 out of 10 would recommend taking the catamaran trip from Beaches Negril to Margaritaville - The catamaran trip from Beaches Negril Resort to margaritaville was the highlight of our family vacation. This had a lot to do with the boat crew, they were all absolutely amazing! Huge shout out to Travees who led us on the snorkeling part of the trip.

Absolutely Amazing Crew & Excursion - Let's start by telling everyone how amazing Travees was. My husband gets motion sickness easily and yes, I medicated him with prescription medication but Travees was always checking on him, making him a special ginger drink and making sure we were having a good time. 10 of us went of this excursion and it was a blast. They keep the drinks and music flowing the entire time. The water was very rough, so we had to skip Rick's but we swam/snorkeled at a cave and stopped at Margaritaville for lunch and lots of fun. We had some extra time because of not stopping at Ricks so the crew threw a dance party and the entire boat joined in. The crew and excursion was absolutely amazing. Not enough words to give so much love to the staff on this excursion. They work their butt's off to make sure everyone has a good time.

Sunset Catamaran from Sandals Negril to Ricks Cafe...Excellent! - We took the Friday night sunset catamaran to Ricks Cafe with one stop for snorkling and 30 minutes at Ricks Cafe with the option to swim in to jump off the cliffs. Island Routes did a fantastic job, it was a large catamaran, very professional, full bar and some snacks. The staff was great and entertaining. We were a group of 10 and had a blast. 2 of us jumped off the cliffs at Ricks even though we are in our 50's. The sunset was wonderful as well. I would recommend this excursion if you are at Sandals!

A Negril vacation must do! - Great trip! You walk off the resort's beach and onto the catamaran. From there you will have access to a bar and amazing views of the coastline. We pulled up to Rick's Cafe. The tour guides were great with info letting us know what to bring and what to leave behind on the boat. I jumped off the lowest cliff jump and loved it! I was too scared to do any higher but I enjoyed watching others. The water was super salty- wish I had goggles but otherwise it was awesome. A school of 8 dolphins were swimming up next to our Catamaran as we took off to make our way to Margaritaville. Margaritaville- no shirt no shoes no problem! We walked off the boat onto the beach and sat in our bathing suits and ate a delicious jerk chicken meal.

Over the top annoying on noise, kids, and cruise director - When I tried to get on ship with an expired passport and was asked to submit a birth certificate, I ended up calling home and having it texted to me.. then emailed to the ship. It was a fairly good process, and I was able to board the ship with my family. This ship which stopped in Key West and Progreso MX was a family-oriented party ship. It was great for people who like LOUD music and lots of annoying kids splashing, running, jumping, etc. My family with little kids loved it. The food was mediocre at best, and fruit consisted only of bananas, grapefruits, and apples... No berries.. lots of mediocre tasting cakes and soft ice cream. Theater was a 5/10 at best... one comedian was pretty funny.. compared to other ships this was a 3/10. The cruise director (CJ/ ZJ?). from Australia was totally annoying with her gravelly voice and constant repetitive reminders about ship stuff. Rooms were freezing cold and were not able to be warmed up. One of my family's cabins had shower drain back ups that were never fixed despite repeated requests. Dining in dining room involved hassled kind of annoyed waiters... It took forever to get 2 birthday cakes we ordered to actually arrive at the table on 2 separate nights...They also did not want to change a rectangular table for 10 to a round table for us.. but I insisted.. and they finally agreed. GMAB! The one adult pool was an oasis away from all the kids.... Getting off the boat worked ok...as well as embarking again. I would not go on this cruise again unless forced to do so by my family with all the kids! lol!

cruise on the islander - This was a very dissapointing cruise. I booked it months in advance with one of their agents. I over paid was under served! I booked drink package, didn't need. I booked dining room my husband's steak was raw. I went to talk to guest relations and waited over 50 minutes. I waited for one 45 minutes for a drink at tiki bar. The food was avg at best.

Scamming people with false advertising - We booked our vacation through Beaches with a promotion that gave us a FREE catamaran cruise. My husband went to speak to the Island Routes rep to ask if the cruise was suitable for a 3-year-old and she told him it was 3 hours long. There was no mention of stops or breaks, so we thought that would be too intense for our child. This is on Saturday afternoon. Two days later, we met another couple who had a 2-year-old and they were telling us about their ride on the catamaran. We asked how he did without stops. They explained that the boat stopped several times and was a sightseeing tour. Revived at the idea, we went to the Island Routes desk to ask about the cruise on Monday morning. No one there. Tried again Monday night, no one there. Tuesday morning, no one there. Wednesday morning, we go back and we find someone. The woman tells us there’s no cruises until Friday, but we explain we’re leaving Friday and we’ve been trying to come for two days. She said, “well I told your husband.” He’s like, “no you didn’t.” So, we say, what can we do tomorrow (Thursday), so we don’t lose out on the credit, and she says, “too bad, not transferable, no cash value.” So we basically completely lost out on this experience because of their lackluster team. There are so many other your companies in Jamaica, I wouldn’t go with this one at all; they’re just scammers.
