Catamaran Cruise to Rick's Cafe - Absolutely fantastic!!! I definitely recommend this excursion. The vibe on the Catamaran was EVERYTHING! The drink's were tasty. At Rick's Cafe I had the Jerk Chicken Pasta, it was delicious but needs more chicken.

Fun party cruise! - We had a lot of fun on this! It is definitely a party, not quiet if you are looking for that. Our cruise director Dex has the energy of three toddlers with puppies hopped up on caffeine! The snorkeling is ok, people saw some bright fish, but that was about it. We didn’t eat at Ricks, we went next door to a great little restaurant called LTU Cliff Bar.

Best day of my entire trip! - Pick up was on time and driver was great. We stopped at several hotels along the way through Montego Bay and then we were on our way to Negril! We made a few stops along the way whenever anyone needed a bathroom break and stopped at a souvenier shop. We then were dropped off at Margaritaville and had lunch before boarding a beautiful catamaran boat. Upon boarding you will need to walk out into the ocean into waste deep water to reach the steps up to the boat deck. It wasn't much of a problem but just something to be aware of and plan accordingly. We then cruised off into the ocean and anchored to snorkel. I was able to see a large stingray and several small blue fish. After snorkeling the open bar started and we began our journey to rick's cafe. What a place that is! We spent some time there eating or drinking and there was also cliff diving into the ocean...wow! The cruise back was breathtaking as the sun set.

Great Trip - We booked this trip from Princess Resort. Thought it would be very overpriced since it was booked from a resort but I thought it was a ok price. The transportation was comfortable. Do understand as a tourist in Jamaica they will try to get you to buy regardless but it’s up to you. But I liked that it was forced. They took you to a souvenir shop first and also the prices weren’t bad. Then you got to relax on NegrilBeach. Nice beach no seaweed, soft sand. We then went on the catamaran which was well organized and had an open unlimited bar and great music. Sailed to Rick’s Cafe, which was great. Stayed for 1 hour or so. Sailed back later to Negril Beach, then transferred back to the hotel. The whole thing is definitely a complete day, took 7-8 hours. Great time. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because they said would have food as well on the catamaran but only some chips and also the bus driver was suggesting we tip him. Those was the only two things. Apart from that. This trip is highly recommended.

Total failure - A total mess! We had booked for 4 people but overlooked that only adults were allowed on this day. Pick up should be in Ocho Rios at 7.30am. After no one came until 8 o'clock we called and after a long wait we were informed that there was an accident on the track and traffic jam. After 15 minutes the bus arrived. Nobody told us that children are not allowed to ride ( 10 and 12 years) Then we were stuck in traffic for 2.5 hours until we could go to Montego Bay and pick up our tour guide in Falmouth. Again, no word that only adults are allowed to ride on the catamaran that day. In addition, the lady was very unkind and did not even greet or introduce herself. Then we drove to Negril a total of 7 hours in the bus - without anything to drink or eat. At the gas station we could meanwhile get chips and coffee at 12 o'clock ma., Offered as a friendly gesture we never got anything. The catamaran was due to leave at 2.15pm. Arrival in Negril at 1.30 pm! So much for 3 hours on the beach. Then came the hammer: we weren't allowed to come with them because of the children. After protests, our tour guide descended to the office to ask if it was possible that we were allowed to ride. It was refused that we should stay on the beach and later we would be taken to Rick’s Café by bus (16.00 Uht !) We were only left to take a taxi back to Ocho Rios at our own expense. Didn't even bathe on the beach but were happy to enjoy an expensive meal at least. Then we were driven to Rick’s Café and could watch our catamaran almost empty there. The sunset we also could not really enjoy because at 6.15 p.m. was departure! We had to take other hotel guests with us this time. Sunset while riding in the bus or waiting for the passengers. Wet swimwear as a side sitter was also pleasant . The bus was full and very loud. Neither driver nor tour guide cared about us at all. We were just annoying for them! Then it took us another 5.5 hours for the return trip, as the passengers were dropped off at various hotels in Montego Bay. At the last hotel we were then passed on to a taxi. The driver was very nice and then let us have a drink at a gas station at 9 pm times and buy chips (there was nothing else). 11.30pm we finally arrived We were looking forward to a nice tour on our last day in Jamaica and then this ordeal!!! The children cried and we were pissed off.!Not a word from the tour guide, they just looked at us as stupid Germans. No nice word or any accommodation come! And for that, the full price of 700 euros is charged. Wasn't worth the trip at all. Although the organizer is not responsible for the accident and the traffic jam, neither are we.
