Rising majestically from the jungle, this colossal rock once housed the palace of King Kasyapa (477–495 AD). As you ascend its winding stairways, you’ll pass ancient frescoes, water gardens, and the famous Lion’s Gate. KINGDOM OF POLONNARUWA / MINNERIYA NATIONAL PARK

Polonnaruwa - Step back in time as you explore the magnificent ancient city of Polonnaruwa, the medieval capital of Sri Lanka and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Chosen by King Vijayabahu in 1070 as the seat of his kingdom, Polonnaruwa flourished with temples, palaces, and statues that still whisper tales of a glorious past.

ROYAL BOTANICAL GARDEN / HILL COUNTRY TEA PLANTATIONS

Damro Labookellie Tea Centre and Tea Garden - As you ascend into the highlands, the landscape transforms into a patchwork of green—endless rows of tea bushes climbing hillsides beneath blankets of mist. Along the way, you’ll stop at a working Ceylon tea factory, where you’ll witness the delicate art of tea production, from hand-plucking to processing.
