NEGOMBO - SIGIRIYA

Sigiriya Museum - Sigiriya, also known as Sinhagiri, is an ancient rock fortress situated in the northern Matale District near Dambulla in Sri Lanka’s Central Province. This site of historical and archaeological importance is dominated by a towering rock column nearly 200 meters high.

SIGIRIYA

Minneriya National Park - Located in Sri Lanka’s North Central Province, Minneriya National Park was designated as a national park on August 12, 1997, after originally being declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1938.

Pidurangala Rock - Pidurangala is a significant rock formation a few kilometers north of Sigiriya in Sri Lanka. Its history is closely linked to the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Although less grand and more challenging to climb, it is often overlooked by tourists. Like Sigiriya, Pidurangala was formed by volcanic activity. While it appears larger than Sigiriya, its steeply sloped upper surface and solid rock composition made it unsuitable for large-scale construction. The surrounding rocky outcrops offer a glimpse of what the area around Sigiriya might have looked like before its transformation into a royal citadel.

SIGIRIYA – DAMBULLA - KANDY

Oak-Ray Isiwara Ayurvedic Village - Sri Lanka is renowned for its spice gardens, earning it the title “Land of Spices.” The country cultivates 15 distinct types of spices, many of which are exported to the global spice market. Spices are a major product of Sri Lanka’s spice gardens.

Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic - Sri Dalada Maligawa, or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, is a Buddhist temple in Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located within the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy and houses the relic of the Buddha’s tooth.

Royal Botanical Gardens - The Royal Botanic Gardens in Peradeniya are located about 5.5 km west of Kandy in Sri Lanka’s Central Province. Attracting 2 million visitors annually, the gardens are renowned for their orchid collection and are situated near the Mahaweli River.

Damro Labookellie Tea Centre and Tea Garden - Known as the “Little England” of Sri Lanka, Nuwara Eliya boasts a unique climate, surroundings, and architecture. Its cooler climate makes it a key area for tea production in Sri Lanka.

Ramboda Waterfall - Ramboda Falls, standing at 109 meters (358 feet), is the 11th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka and the 729th highest in the world. Located in the Pussellawa area on the A5 highway at Ramboda Pass, it is formed by Panna Oya, a tributary of Kothmale Oya, at an altitude of 945 meters (3,100 feet) above sea level.

Gregory Lake - Lake Gregory, also known as Gregory Reservoir, is situated in the heart of Nuwara Eliya’s tea country hill city. Constructed during the tenure of British Governor Sir William Gregory in 1873, the lake and its surroundings form the Gregory Lake Area.

NUWARA ELIYA - BENTOTA

St Clair’s Falls - St. Clair’s Falls, one of Sri Lanka’s widest waterfalls, is often referred to as the “Little Niagara of Sri Lanka.” It is one of six waterfalls impacted by the Upper Kotmale Hydropower Project.

Devon Falls - Devon Falls, located 6 km west of Talawakele in the Nuwara Eliya District on the A7 highway, is named after an English coffee planter, Devon, whose plantation is nearby. The waterfall stands at 97 meters high and is the 19th highest on the island.

Galle Fort - Situated in the Bay of Galle on Sri Lanka’s southwest coast, Galle Fort was initially built by the Portuguese in 1588 and extensively fortified by the Dutch from 1649 onwards.

Unawatuna Beach - Unawatuna is one of Sri Lanka’s most renowned areas, attracting tourists to its stunning southern beaches. Just an hour’s drive from Colombo, Unawatuna offers a perfect spot for a few days’ stay, with excellent shopping, guesthouses, trendy restaurants, and numerous activities and sightseeing opportunities.

Madu Ganga Biodiversity Area - Enjoy a magical speed-boat ride along the beautiful Madu River, a wetland estuary covering 900 hectares, with 770 hectares of water and 64 islands. Arcade Independence Square - Located in Colombo, Sri Lanka, the Arcade Independence Square is a shopping complex housed in renovated buildings, including the former Jawatta Lunatic Asylum and the former Western Provincial Council Building.

Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall - Situated in Colombo, the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall is a convention center built between 1970 and 1973. It was a gift from the People’s Republic of China in memory of Prime Minister Solomon Ridgeway Dias Bandaranaike.

Gangaramaya (Vihara) Buddhist Temple - This temple showcases an eclectic mix of Sri Lankan, Thai, Indian, and Chinese architecture. Located near Beira Lake, it features a Vihara (temple), Cetiya (Pagoda), Bodhi tree, Vihara Mandiraya, Seema Malaka (assembly hall for monks), and Relic Chamber.
