- Melanina Sicilian Experience - Our experience comes from the pleasure of sharing with you information on the artisanal products of our territory. We will meet on the seafront of Giardini Naxos in an exclusive location where you can admire typical elements of Sicilian design and spend time in company. During the experience you will taste wines, beers, extra virgin olive oils from Etna and many other exquisite products made by small local producers with refined raw materials. You will immerse yourself in the history and spirit of a land that is told through its products. We will tell you about the grape varieties and olive trees found on Mount Etna, as well as pistachios, tomatoes and oranges. You will start with a tasting of five different extra virgin olive oils, followed by a selection of bruschetta with savory pâtés and sweet creams, you will choose a glass of Etna wine or beer and a liqueur. Finally, we will guide you in the discovery of the showroom dedicated to Sicilian producers, artists and artisans.

The highlight of our trip to Sicily and a lasting memory! - We booked a last-minute trip to Sicily and didn’t have much time to plan in advance. Yesterday, I realized I hadn’t arranged anything special for my 11-year-old’s birthday (aside from a family vacation in Sicily, of course!). In a bit of a panic, I started searching for cooking classes and came across Melanina in Giardini Naxos. I booked it on a whim, hoping it would be good—but keeping expectations low given how spontaneous it was.
It turned out to be one of the absolute highlights of our trip.
The setting is beautiful, the space thoughtfully designed, and Agata and team were incredibly warm, knowledgeable, and engaging. We hand-rolled traditional Sicilian macaroni and made fresh cannoli (which we devoured afterward with a local wine pairing!), and the class also included a delicious olive oil and tapenade tasting. It was the perfect midday activity—fun, educational, hands-on, and a great way to escape the heat for a few hours.
Truly worth every penny. It was such a memorable experience for the whole family, and I’d 100% do it again. Highly, highly recommended!

A Must-Do for Visitors - My husband and I had a wonderful time tasting the flavors of Sicily. The “tour” is offered in English which was awesome! We enjoyed our hosts, Agatha and Rosalba, who were so personable and friendly. We only had one other couple in our session so everything was catered to our interests and preferences. 10/10 would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Super nice and tasty experience - Really a nice experience to taste local products like olive oil, spreads and wine here. Reception was super cordial. We had accidentally booked something else but that was no problem to convert it.
The 5 different olive oils and spreads were super tasty and the 4 wines really great.
The story behind the products was told with enthusiasm by the employee.

Beautiful discovery - We accidentally entered this great place. The property owner welcomed us and made us taste several products from artisans of the Etna region including several incredible oils. If we could (it was our last day in Sicily) have booked a full tasting. We were able to make a choice of typical tapenades, oil and others with the good advice and hospitality of Rosalba. Thank you.

An authentic experience of Sicilian flavors - We tasted very good quality local products. the explanations were very precise and given with passion. We feel like someone is invested in helping us discover the products of their island. tasting of oils, jams, honey. All of their products are excellent!

Wonderful Sicilian tasting experience - Had a wonderful tasting of local products - wines, olive oils and spreads. Each product was described very well and with enthusiasm. We learnt both about the ingredients and the producers. The host was fantastic.

Sicilian taste - We had the pleasure of having Siciliantaste at Melanina. It was a variety of local Sicilian products, from olive oils, pestos, sweet preserves to wines and liqueurs. All products come from local, small businesses. Their high quality was felt. The two lovely ladies talked with passion about the process of making and the history of these specialties. It was a very nice experience.
We bought, among other things pistachio pesto and made delicious Sicilian spaghetti with it.
For sure we will visit the place again next time we are in Giardini Naxos♡

Highlight of our Sicily trip - We did this tasting during the later evening session with wine. The products were out of this world! We have tried Sicilian artisanal products in other shops on our trip, but nothing came close to Melanina's curated collection of truly local olive oils, pastes, jams, etc. You can feel how much love went into making every product, and Melanina does a fantastic job relaying that heart from the maker to you. Also, it's an incredibly convention one-stop shop for foodie things to bring home!
Street parking nearby was free and easy. Driving here was a breeze too, seaside with no crazy big city traffic or mountain town tourist chaos.
