Amazing experience - The tour was brilliant made extra special by Sofia (4th family generation). Full of fun and so knowledgeable supported by the wonderful Julia making this an absolute must do. We had wines,citron, ouzo , nibbles and more. A must do when in Naxos. !

Sofia and Mother Provided a SPECTACULAR Experience - Sofia was our Host for 2+ hours. She is a beautiful and wonderful person with a gregarious personality, and guided us through Citron, 3 wines, Ouzo, Raki and other tastings that were spectacular. Her Mother joined us at the end. I had fun siding with each’s perspectives, which were different. Sofia, with pride well earned, exhibited the wonderful characteristics of a 4th generation distillery and wine vineyard. The food provided balanced all the tasty beverages. The experience was un-paralleled ! Everything was tasty, and the fun of her presentation was superb. This is a MUST-DO experience on Naxos! Unforgettable experience - From when you arrive the family greet you and make you feel welcome. The tour was run by Sofia who is a wonderful, vibrant and fun individual. She had us laughing, giggling, oohhhing and ahhing at all points of the tour. We got to learn the process of Citron and try all the products the family makes, which were all amazing! I especially loved the chocolate with the citron. This was an unforgettable experience and everyone needs to add it to the top of their list when visiting Naxos. Thank you!

Best part of Naxos stay - We were referred to this wonderful tour and tasting by friends and are so glad we got the last 2 openings during our stay. Sofia and the entire team make you feel like a part of their family. So much love and passion for Citron making and the island of Naxos. A must do. Also be sure to visit their store near the port to take home something very special. Cannot recommend enough!

Super fun and interesting + tasty food - The tour was super fun and interesting. The food that was served was amazing and homemade by the sweet woman serving it. Tour guide, Sofia, was fantastic! Made the whole experience fun. She invited us to their retail store in the evening too (which is beautiful) to continue with more tasting of the citron :-) Highly recommend for a fun afternoon. FYI - you do drink a lot (if you want) so plan ahead for safe driving!

Hidden gem in Naxos - So much fun - Sophia was an excellent host! Loved the small group tour too. We laughed so much, while also learning about citron and eating delicious snacks. If you’re at the ferry port, be sure to visit the Promponas store. Gorgeously wrapped gifts perfect for souvenirs.

You Must Do This - Might Get a Bit Tipsy! - What a wonderful experience! Sofia was a delight. We learned so much about her family business of making delicious citron beverages. The tour was informative, interesting and so much fun. You will drink so many tasty things and eat very tasty food. Even on a very hot day, we were cool, refreshed and well taken care of. Please go visit this wonderful family legacy and learn about their amazing citron products.

A Tour You Can’t Miss - We spent the most delightful time with Sofia at her family distillery. She arranged for transport for our group of six family members ranging in age from 25-80 years old. From the moment we stepped from the van, Sofia welcomed us and made us feel part of her family. She and the rest of her wonderful staff, were knowledgeable, friendly and lots of fun. We learned about the citron process, the citron groves and ate & drank. The appetizers were paired perfectly with the citron beverages and the personal stories were icing on the cake. If you are even considering this, you MUST do it! What a wonderful experience. Thank you, Sofia!

Wonderful tour - During our holiday in Greece we did a good amount of guided tours, however this tour certainly stood out to my son and I for a few reasons. Upon arrival I was impressed by the size of the citron growing outside the entrance and there was a very nice peaceful atmosphere. We were greeted by Margarita Sofia, not just our tour guide but a forth generation member of Promponas. She was so lively and friendly and just so incredibly welcoming! I brought my 11 year old son with me and I figured he would be bored but she welcomed him like he was family and got him excited and helping her out during the tour. He loved every minute of it. She was incredibly informative during the tour and always engaging. The food was great and the tasting experience was great until I got sick smh I’m gonna chalk it up to the heat which dehydrated me lol but after a few shots of ouzo and then raki I had to run to the rest room and I will just leave it at that lol but Sofia was so kind. When she realized I had been missing for a while she came to check on me and she even brought me a T-shirt to wear home which unofficially makes me a member of the team I guess hehehe. But all in all this was probably one of the best tours my son and I went on during our holiday this summer in Greece. I would certainly do this again and will recommend this to anyone going to Naxos.
