Cool little quirky museum - $11 for a collection of Bahamian memorabilia from Columbus days to Colonialism to modern times all in a historic house that is said to be haunted. My only gripe was some rooms were stuffy but that’s all. If you have 30min to kill more if you like than it’s worth it. It’s nearby the national gallery and rum distillery.

Local museum - Interesting small museum filled with lots of historical artifacts. Definitely get the audio guide and plan for 45 minutes. Terrific overview of Bahamian history.

Hidden Gem - We seemed to be the only ones taking the self guided tour durning the early afternoon we visited. The iPod narration moved a little slowly and was a bit confusing but the artifacts in this unique museum were wonderful. This museum is in an old home that has been converted. We were walking to various sights in Nassau so it was nice to cool off before heading to our next location.

Amateurish overview of Bahama history - An amateur historian's poorly collected menagerie of artifacts often places out of context. While of interest and worthy of a visit, this is another unfortunate example of collections that are not given the proper attention needed. Especially signified by the amount of dust collecting on some artifacts and cobwebs in corners. Exhibits we're not chronologically arranged but rathery by time they were collected. Resulting in odd exhibits and context and exhibits that have little relevance to each other or the island.
