A Nashville gem - This museum is not to be missed! Far superior to other Nashville museums — including the Country Music Hall of Fame. Beautifully laid out, very fun interactive components, and you will learn more about country music than at any other venue (I visited them all), not to mention the multitudes of other African American music genres. It was truly a highlight!

This is an outstanding musical adventure, and learning experience you can’t miss. - This is an outstanding personal interactive tour of music. It seems like something that the Smithsonian would have put together. The layout allows you to weave through all types of music. From Jazz, to Hip Hop, to Blues to Soul, and even rock, you hear the greats, learn the history and can download your own personal play list to take home with you from all the kiosks throughout the venue. Honestly, this is better than the Rock and Roll hall of fame, or the Country Music Hall of fame. A hidden gem, I’ve been there twice and still not seen it all. One of the must stops if in town for the weekend.

Best African American Museum Ever!! - This is the best African American museum I've ever gone to. It's walkable, inviting, new, friendly staff and interactive. Please buy the bracelets for $5. When we checked in the young lady asked if we wanted one but we said no because we didn't know the significance of them. You can save music, music you make, dances you do, everything on the bracelets. We weren't going back to the beginning or else we would've gone back to the front to buy. But we also wasn't sure of it was re-entrance. We were there four hours because we took everything in. We could've did a two day split to take everything in.

Great time! - Awesome museum. The opening short film was extremely well done and informative. The exhibits were wonderful and detailed. It is a small museum, but an absolute must do.

Ringin in the 40s - The layout was nice, very interactive, a great reminder of how we came to the present. The video at the beginning is a nice summary of what to expect thru the museum. We enjoyed it very much.

History of a Thousands Voices - I had originally book my stay at the Cambria hotel with a trip to Uncle Nearest Distillery during my stay. I googled things to do in downtown Nashville and this was highly recommended. I spent 4 hours in this museum and still didn't see or hear everything.. I will return and explore more artist.. Learn about your artist then learn who influenced them and who they influenced. You will not be disappointed.. Your senses will be overloaded in a good way. Many interactive elements throughout the museum//

Visit - Could have been better as it didn’t seem to flow along as well as it could have with a jumbled time line, only a minor detail as it was an enjoyable visit
