NAIROBI-MASAI MARA (Approx: 265kms-5hrs)

Masai Mara National Reserve - In the early morning, the driver/guide will pick up the operator in Nairobi and provide a briefing on the safari before departing for Maasai Mara. Enjoy a picturesque drive down into the Rift Valley, heading to Masai Mara, Kenya’s top game reserve. The operator will travel in a private safari vehicle. There will be a brief stop en-route at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for breathtaking views of the world’s largest valley. Arrival at Masai Mara is scheduled for lunch. The afternoon game drive at 3:30 pm offers the opportunity to spot the park’s unmatched wildlife. Return to the lodge by 6:30 pm.

FULL DAY- MASAI MARA

Mara River - After an early morning breakfast, enjoy a full day of game drives within the reserve. The Maasai Mara is renowned for its black-maned lions and the annual wildebeest migration. It is likely one of Kenya’s most visited reserves, boasting an extraordinary density of animals, including the Big Five and many other varieties of plains game. The Mara River flows through the Mara and Serengeti ecosystems, sustaining both reserves before eventually emptying into Lake Victoria. The Great Migration (July-October) of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle from the Serengeti in Tanzania to the Mara in Kenya is particularly impressive and notable. A picnic lunch will be provided, and game drives will continue, with arrival at the camp in the evening. Enhance the Masai Mara experience with an optional cultural visit to a Maasai village. Another optional activity is an early morning hot air balloon ride over the reserve.

MASAI MARA-NAIROBI (265kms-5hrs)

Nairobi - After breakfast, the journey back to Nairobi, Kenya’s vibrant city, begins.

On the way, spot Mt. Longonot, an extinct stratovolcano located southeast of Lake Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley of Kenya. It is believed to have last erupted in the 1860s, and its name is derived from the Masai word Oloonong’ot, meaning “mountains of many spurs” or “steep ridges.” There is an option to drive via Lake Naivasha for lunch/excursions at an (extra cost) OR drive directly to Nairobi and visit Fairview Coffee Farm for a coffee farm tour at an (extra cost) OR head straight back to the capital and later transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for a flight back home or to a Nairobi hotel.
