Their primary goal is to educate Kenyan school children and youth about their country’s wildlife and environment, while also offering local and international visitors an opportunity to interact with the world’s tallest species, the giraffe.

• Sheldrick Wildlife Trust - Gain insight into conservation efforts at the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. The Nairobi nursery rescues and rehabilitates baby elephants, reintegrating them into the wild after three years at the Ithumba Reintegration Unit north of Tsavo East. This is a must-visit for anyone who values wildlife and the importance of conserving these critical species for future generations.

• KOBE TOUGH Beads & Leather - (OPTIONAL) You will then be driven to Kobe Tough Beads and Leather, a pottery company renowned for creating some of the world’s most beautiful beads. You will be shown all the stages from start to finish. This unique factory employs single mothers from the local community, providing them with a livelihood to support their families. It serves as a women’s empowerment center. The center was established by women who previously worked for Kazuri Beads Factory, which closed during the pandemic. This provided them with a means to continue supporting their families.

You then have the option of being driven to lunch and then to your hotel, with a later drop-off at the hotel.

• Utamaduni Craft Centre - (OPTIONAL) After an exciting tour of the beads factory, we are pleased to take you to the Utamaduni Crafts Centre at your convenience, or we will proceed to your drop-off.
