Additional Information

Embrace the splendid beauty of the Sonoma vineyards with your full senses on an organized cycling trip, touring the local wineries. Leave the car behind, slow down, and discover the wine country from an unrivaled viewpoint - by bicycle! As part of a small group led by an informed local guide, you’ll gain insights into the process from grape to wine. The cycling tours move at a leisurely pace, with only 3 to 5 miles of pedaling between each winery visit. The tour includes a tasteful picnic lunch at one of the wineries, as well as a visit to two wineries, and an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour/tasting at Vella Cheese factory (not available on Sundays).

  • Minimum age for admission to the winery tasting rooms is 21 years; for this reason, we are unable to accommodate guests under 21 on this tour.
  • Please note: This is a wine-focused tour that includes visiting three wineries. Although wine tasting fees are not included upfront, there is an expectation that guests signing up for this tour will be participating in tastings. This tour is not a good choice for guests with limited interest in wine tasting.

Rain or shine - Incredible service! When it rained, they moved us into a van and took us to incredible wonderful boutique wineries that provided an intimate and fabulous tasting that were 5 stars! Our guide, Hunt, went above and beyond for us to make sure it was special and everyone felt comfortable! Could not recommend this company more for any tour experience in Sonoma!

Loved it! - Great company...helpful best route options and features along the way. We would have never known some of the great elements of the trip without the handy map and description. Even picked up cheese at the Vella Cheese Company! Rode for two hours...just lovely.

Highlife of our wine country visit - The Sonoma Bike Tour was the highlight of our wine country visit. Bruce was a wonderful tour guide who wowed us with his historical knowledge of Sonoma, california viniculture, multiple types of unique trees. We visited a wonderful small boutique winery and the oldest winery in California, both with unique tastings. We visit Napa/Sonoma area every couple of years and this was a truly special deviation from our normal visits.

Family Fun in Sonoma - The group at Sonoma Valley Bike Tour set us up for a successful day with the properly fit e-bikes, custom made bike routes to our stops, which were designed to avoid busy thorough fares, as well as suggested winery and food stops. Their team took the time to properly fit our family, who span a wide range of sizes and biking expertises. Everyone felt comfortable on their bikes. Another nice feature they offered was creating Google map routes, after learning our route, and texting each stage of the trip. In addition, they provided visually landmarks on the computer for the various stops, which instilled a greater sense of confidence four our tour. The rentals included helmets and locks; however, remember to spring for a couple of panniers for wine purchases! We could not have been happier with rental selection.

He is so knowledgeable and shared so much information while riding us through the beautiful neighborhoods and wineries of Sonoma. This was a fantastic way to spend the day and see this part of wine country.

Outstanding biking and wine and cheese tasting day! - Had an amazing day. Our guide James was outstanding. He was patient as we got used to the E-bikes. We couldn’t have ridden all those miles through the area without an E-bike! James was so knowledgeable about the area. He also shared a wealth of knowledge about the wine and cheese making and history of these three locations . Lunch wash delicious and a nice experience while we enjoyed our first wine tasting. The people who we met at all three businesses were so friendly and knowledgeable. Both wineries were unique experiences and the visit to the cheese makers a nice finish to a wonderful day. We highly recommend this company!

Wonderful experience…even in the rain - Great day even in the pouring rain. James was a wonderful tour guide with lots of knowledge of Sonoma’s history and winemaking. Enjoyed the local wineries and cheese, and loved the biking experience. If we could have stopped the rain from falling, the day would have been perfect!
