The Sonoma Food Tour provides a guided exploration of local food establishments, conveniently located within the scenic environment of the Sonoma Plaza. Experience authentic flavors of Sonoma, with a variety of regional dishes, Californian Mexican cuisine, local delicacies, cheese, olive oil, chocolates, wine and much more. The tastings are all catered by local restaurants, eateries & shops. As you indulge in the tantalizing selections, enjoy a simultaneous appreciation of Sonoma’s history, culture, and architecture. The Sonoma Food Tour spans over 3 hours, traversing approximately 1.25 miles, and offers a delightful array of tastings that suffice as a wholesome meal.
Please note that the package includes all costs related to food, wine, cocktails, and the local guide. There are no hidden or additional tasting fees.

- Minimum of 4 guests needed to hold the tour. If there are less than 4 guests, the tour will have to be cancelled (sorry) and it will be cancelled “due to bad weather” since Viator does not provide an appropriate reason for the small tour operator to cancel the tour.

Meet at the DEPOT PARK MUSEUM (NOT THE DOWNTOWN PLAZA). Meet your tour guide at the steps of the train caboose between the Depot Museum Parking Lot (Free, All-Day Parking) and the Depot Museum. Please be there 5 minutes before the start of your tour.

Great food/wine/history tour of Sonoma! - Had a great tour group and guide (Abby)! So much history to explore and food to eat !! Was out first time in Sonoma and we Would absolutely recommend!

Abby is a rock star - Loved this tour and Abby was fantastic. Nice range of things to do and see. Other folks on tour made it even better. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Beautiful Sonoma - Enjoyed learning the history of beautiful Sonoma... Abby was great!! Friendly & very knowledgable. I would've liked a little more wine to be included for the price (especially on the cheese stop). Only one stop had wine. But overall a great experience!!

Perfect sampling of Sonoma's best food and drinks and very entertaining! - Our tour guide, Abby, made this tour such fun! It was an ideal blend of getting to sample some of Sonoma's best products along with hearing about Sonoma's history. Starting with tasting Vella cheese samples (and visiting their retail shop, where they had vacuum-sealed cheeses at reasonable prices to purchase and take home), we then had the best "Cal-Mex" food and a margarita! We then sampled amazing flavored olive oils and balsamic vinegars at Figone's (we came back after the tour to buy some), tasted delectable wines at Highway 12, and finished with our choice of a chocolate truffle at Wine Country Chocolates. It was a perfect way to get to know Sonoma. My husband and I absolutely loved this very personalized tour!

What a wonderful experience! - This tour was a fantastic opportunity to visit Sonoma Square and learn about a bit of local history while touring specialty cheese, olive oil, wine and chocolate shops. It was a really wonderful day and the small group was the perfect size!

Perfect afternoon! - A really fun way to spend the day, learn about Sonoma’s history, taste some delicious foods & drinks, and make some new friends! Abby is a fantastic guide who immediately set the tone for a fun & friendly afternoon! The icing on the cake is the photo album she puts together at the end of her tours as a wonderful memento of an enjoyable afternoon!

An absolute must! - The Sonoma Food Tour was the absolute best start to our Sonoma vacation. Abby was so personable, shared amazing history about Sonoma and had curated wonderful food and wine stops along the way. If you are visiting Sonoma, this tour is an absolute must!

Great way to start your vacation - The tour guide and tour content was fantastic! She was friendly and knowledgeable and really seemed to enjoy her job. The pictures were a fantastic touch and we loved meeting the people in our group. I was a little disappointed with the amount of food on the tour. I expected more of a small plates progressive lunch but only two stops were seated and only one plated food on the tour. The others were standing taste “shoportunities” which were fun but not what I was expecting.
Tour guide also gave personal restaurant and activity recommendations which was a fantastic addition to our trip.
