Bodega Bay - Sailing in Bodega Bay — fabulous experience touring the bay and meeting the Pacific Ocean. Rich was not only a skilled sailor but an excellent host, would highly recommend.

October day on Bodega Bay. - We went out on Rich’s 33 ft sloop. Initially there was no wind so we motored out of the bay where Rich pointed out the local birds and landmarks. Breeze came up so we were able to sail a while. Saw an awesome whale breech and fin flaps from a humpback. Rich has a great personality with great stories to share. He went above and beyond to return my phone to me which I accidentally left on his boat! We had a great time; so enjoyed the day. We highly recommend this trip!

Relaxing Day on the Water - My wife and I were looking for an outdoor activity to do on my birthday and this sailing tour was a perfect fit. Enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, sipping champagne and good conversation. Rich was a lot of fun to talk with and well versed on local history, geography, and wildlife. We saw quite a few birds, sea lions, and even managed to spot a whale. Would highly recommend for both locals and out-of-towners.

Great trip on the water with our family - Great experience with my family of 5, kids aged 6, 10, and 12. If you haven’t done this kind of thing before it’s an amazing experience and great complement to a seafood and beach day. Rich knows his trade and was a great host, engaged with our kids, let them take the tiller, made everyone feel safe, etc.

Loved it! - We were up on a weekend trip for my birthday. i wanted a fresh perspective on Bodega Bay, and this was a wonderful way to get it. The day before we hiked around Bodega Head, which was a great way to prepare for sailing around Bodega Bay. The wind was a little low, so we used the motor to go south. Then Rich raised the sails and we came back in a leisurely fashion. Along the way we saw seals, sea lions, a wrecked ship, a variety of sea birds, and a lot of gorgeous coastline. We had cloudy weather, which was great, as it kept us cool the whole way. We were a little hesitant to be trapped in a boat with a stranger for 3 hours, but we need not have worried. The owner/operator, Rich, was great. He was knowledgeable, funny, and a good conversationalist. He was previously a park ranger in Bodega, so he knows quite a bit about the local wildlife, environs, and economy. Overall we were very happy with the trip and will surely remember it for years.

A wonderful sail! - Rich was a great pilot/ owner. The sail around the bay was great. Even though it was 96 degrees in Sonoma, we knew to dress warm on the boat as on the water, it was a breezey 55 degrees. We saw seals and sea lions. We sailed into the ocean for a bit. The seas were not too rough, and we were able to enjoy the wine we brought along. He had a few funny jokes. We would highly recommend this trip, you will highly enjoy your time.

Excellent way to see Bodega Bay - Sailing with Rich was a blast. It was great to learn stories about Bodega Bay and the surrounding area. The views were stunning, and we had a great time. He pointed out highlights all along our trip. Dress warm, it gets chilly. I highly recommend this tour.

Excited to take a sailboat trip in Bodega Bay, but it fell short of expectations! - It wasn’t the best of weather at 10:00 am in the morning in October, so it was a bit cold . Not unexpected, but skipper Rich was very entertaining and was thoughtful when one of our party got seasick! I would say the sailboat was average and was not kept up well, a little disappointing! I would not go out with more than 2 couples or 4 people. The bathroom facilities were not sanitary and need to be in better shape! Overall We all felt it was a 5 out of 10! Beautiful view but not worth the money!‘
