Highlights
  • Napa Valley Bike Tours - After bike fitting & orientation (30 mins), your Tour Guide will lead you on a scenic ride alongside the vineyards. Tours are led at a casual pace. The emphasis is on enjoying the scenery and discovering a local winery along the way.

The winery visit will last approximately 75 minutes with plenty of time to engage your tasting host and learn about the wine-making styles and farming practices. Wine tasting fees are not included; you will pay tasting fees directly at the wineries during your visit (fees may be waived with minimum purchase).

After your tour concludes in Yountville, you’re welcome to keep your electric bikes to continue exploring on your own. Your Tour Guide will be happy to recommend favorite backroads to explore.

  • Monticello Vineyards - Monticello Vineyards is owned and managed by three generations of the Corley family. Patriarch Jay Corley, came to Napa Valley in 1969 seeking land to plant an estate vineyard. He chose a parcel in the southern end of Napa Valley to plant the first vines for Monticello Vineyards. Fifty years later, the Corley family manages five different vineyards across the Napa Valley. Sons Kevin, Chris and Stephen manage the winery. A third generation of Corleys is now graduating college and beginning to take active roles in the family business. Specific winery visits are subject to change due to availability. Wine tasting fees are not included in the price of the bike tour (some wineries may be waived with minimum purchase).

Additional Information

Experience the joy of a Half-Day Bike Tour that lets you cycle in a vineyard while also giving you ample time for the rest of your day activities! Your tour will be with a small group, led by a local Tour Guide who is well-versed in valley’s history and the fascinating journey of the vine to your bottle. The tour will include a stop at a local winery (tasting charges are not included).

Usage of e-bikes ensures that anyone who can cycle, can enjoy this tour. Beginner riders won’t find it challenging to cover longer distances or climb hills. On the other hand, seasoned riders can reduce or switch off the pedal-assist mode to add more intensity to their workout.

When the bike tour ends in Yountville, you’re free to retain your bikes for more independent exploration. Your Tour Guide can suggest you popular off-route paths to explore.

  • Minimum age for admission to the winery tasting rooms is 21 years; for this reason, we are unable to accommodate guests under 21 on this tour.
  • Participants must comfortable riding in a bike lane next to traffic.
  • This is a wine-focused tour. Although tasting fees are not included upfront, there is an expectation that guests signing up for this tour will be participating in tastings. This tour is not a good choice for guests with limited interest in wine tasting.

Napa Valley Bike Tour is not to be missed! - Don't miss this experience! We explored the back roads of Napa with our fabulous guide, Dustin (love him!) Dustin brought us to two vineyards and we had a delicious Bouchon Bakery lunch at one of the vineyards. Beautiful day and so much fun. Dustin was so knowledgeable -- not just about the area but about winemaking and the vineyards. Great high quality e-bikes (easy to ride or you can peddle like I did.) Thank you, Napa Valley Bike Tours! You're the best!

Half Day Tour Was Fun! - We enjoyed the Half Day E-Bike Tour very much. Our guide, Cameron, is usually in the shop, but for our group ventured out onto the bike path as it were. He made sure we were comfortable on our bikes by heading down a city street that turned to a country lane before heading out to the Silverado highway. The E-Bikes made it a breeze and I personally wanted to take full advantage of the electricity added to my bike, but had to stay with the group. : ( We biked to Hagafen Winery and learned about Kosher wines and wine making in general. They have a very pleasant tasting area and a friendly dog to pet. We returned via a narrow road to the Wine Trial dedicated bike path, again I wanted to go faster than my group, but that is me, I hate using brakes. The views were incredible. Sadly, none of our group made a wine purchase at Hagafen, so I can not speak to the support van pick up option. The tasting fee at Hagafen is average for other winery tasting fee's, which is in addition to the bike tour itself. All in all, a spendy half day trip in beautiful California wine country. We enjoyed a delicious slice of pizza at the deli near the shop. YUM! We walked to the Bouchon Bakery for a Chocolate Croissant for the AM. Yountville is a quaint town to stroll about after your ride.

Really bad - We were really excited to take this tour - I ride 3-4 days per week at home. We have taken many different types of tours in all different destinations and really love learning about the area. This wasn’t that. It was 6 mile ride out to a bad winery and back … no talking about the valley or area at all - this was according to my family that completed the activity. I didn’t expect our tour guide to provide wine education, but there wasn’t anything about the area, etc. In addition,my bike didn’t work and I ended up so far behind the group I couldn’t see anyone and didn’t know if I was going in the right direction. It was frustrating and humiliating. While the tour guide eventually came back to find me, by then I just wanted to be done with it. We would have been much better off renting a bike (making sure it worked) and selecting a winery that we knew was good or decent. We don’t mind spending $$ for a good/great experience - this was not.
