Unique and fun experience with beautiful views and amazing horses and hosts! - This was an amazing experience for us as a family. Incredible views, riding beautiful well looked after and loved horses. Nikki and David were both great and took the time to share information about the lake, area and their ranch, as well as sit a chat to us after we finished our experience while we had a drink. We have already recommended to friends and would definitely go again ourselves.

Don't miss out on this trail ride! - Great outdoor adventure in Sonoma! I highly recommend this trail ride--such great views of Sonoma Lake, and very relaxing ride. Horses were in great shape--and suitable for inexperienced riders. And our guide shared a wealth of information regarding the history of the property as well as leading us on a safe journey!

Great experience with two caveats - The scenery was beautiful, the staff and owner were super kind, and real horse lovers. They only make the horses go on one or two trail rides/day, unlike some other companies. The horses look healthy, happy and well cared for. There was a real beginner in our group, and the leaders complied when I suggested she be moved toward the back of the line so the rest of us who were more experienced could have a nice ride without having to stop as her horse grazed or wouldn’t move. The trail was very very nice. Warning: there are no fast food places nearby and this ranch doesn’t serve food. We had planned to stop to eat before our 11:00 ride, but no luck! Also, the directions on Viator would have taken us to a weird location far away. I’m so glad I called to get the specific address for my gps before we set out. Highly recommend this experience. Even the 14 and 11 year old kiddos enjoyed it!

There was a beginner in our group, and the leaders complied when I suggested she be moved toward the back of the line so the rest of us who were more experienced could have a nice ride without having to stop as her horse grazed or wouldn’t move. The trail was very very nice, high up in the mountains. In one place we rode through a shady redwood forest. Warning: there are no fast food places nearby and this ranch doesn’t serve food. We had planned to stop to eat before our 11:00 ride, but no luck! Also, the directions on Viator would have taken us to a weird location far away. Our Amazing Adventure with Ava - This was the first adventure we had planned for our 45 Years of Loving Tour my wife and I had embarked on for our anniversary celebration. Ava was our guide and she was flat out amazing to work with. Warm, welcoming, informative--she engaged us in delightful conversations during this beautiful experience. The ride was a bit shorter than we expected (75min), but, with the wonderful scenery we enjoyed along the way, it well worth the money spent.

Beautiful day in Sonoma countryside! - Gorgeous setting (even the drive there is splendid), very friendly and knowledgeable guide, clean and safe facilities, tame and well taken care of animals, varied tour settings (hills over Sonoma Lake, redwood forest, etc.). Look forward to bringing more family there in the future!

Horseback ride with a great View - Ridding horses from The Ranch at Lake Sonoma, was a very good experience for my son and I. Eva, the cowgirl guide, took us on a scenic ride of the Lake. It was very relaxing and beautiful. You can tell they take good care of the horses at the Ranch. Nikki and her husband were also very welcoming and kind.
