Additional Information

A self-directed audio journey of 21 miles from Point Reyes National Seashore to the small town of Tomales.

Located just beyond the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco, Bill Jensen, a fifth-generation lamb caretaker, assists wayward lambs through a foot bath. A little further along the route, Bob Giacomini inspects his advanced milking barn.

Both Bill and Bob are constituents of a vibrant farming district encompassing dairy farmers, meat and wool producers, and oyster cultivators in West Marin County. How did this idyllic countryside, located in close proximity to a leading urban center, manage to escape urbanization? Majority of the honour is attributed to two women who initiated a one-of-a-kind concept…

Much more fun than expected! - More fun than you would ever expect! I thought it would be a laugh initially, but it turns out that it was fun, informative, and took us to places we would have never gone. We learned about the history of the region and stopped by some funeral places. The town of Piont Reyes was so charming, and we were there on a day when there was a farmers market. Recommendation: build in time to stop and explore!

People Save Cows! - My favorite part of the tour was learning how this beautiful, unique landscape was saved by the work of dairy farmers and local environmentalists. Amazing what can be accomplished by people listening to each other and working together. I enjoyed this tour so much, I took the Cow Heaven tour too.

This was such a fun tour! - Wow! This was such an amazing and informative tour! I loved the storytelling -- hearing directly from the ranchers and farmers who live here. The history of how this precious land got saved from development is inspiring.

Not really a tour - Interesting and informative audio but not a tour. Provided interest facts about the general area but did not point out sites or history tied to the route. Would have been better to read as an article.

Don't buy from via tour - It was a terrible experience. It wouldn't work. When I called the customer service there were no help and I should have known better because it was an 100% no money back. Don't buy it from here. You can buy it from other sources like voice map. It worked great from them but I had to buy it twice
