Namche Bazar trek is among the brief treks in the Everest district. This trek is intended for people who have restricted travel time but desire to observe the highest mountain in the world, Mount Everest (8,848m). Situated at an altitude of 3,450 m above sea level, Namche Bazar serves as the gateway to Everest and a trading hub.
The journey commences with a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, lasting around 45 minutes. This mountain flight offers a fantastic opportunity to witness the valleys and skim above the towering Himalayas. Lukla, an airport on a hilltop, is your starting point for the trek to Phakding. The subsequent day, you’ll stay at Namche Bazar for a couple of nights. While the view from Namche Bazar is splendid, for an awe-inspiring sight of Mount Everest, consider hiking to Syanboche airport. An additional hike to the Sherpa village in Khumjung is also possible before returning to Namche.
