Majestic Mongolia with a kind driver - Had an amazing experience on the tour. Our driver Miigaa was so kind and helped us throughout the journey. Even though he wasn't a tour guide, he assisted us at each stop and helped translate stuff for us. He even helped find someone to open up the souvenir store which was closed so that we could shop. We went on a snowy day, and his driving skills were safe and skilled. I highly recommend it!

Great Trip to the white rolling hills under the blue sky - Tour, well worth the money. Personally I mostly like the views while driving, white rolling hills under the blue sky.
Especially in the cold of winter, it is more than nice to have a car waiting. (On the day of my trip we had 39°C to 35°C below!)

The driver responded to my request on the day and I was able to really enjoy Mongolia and it was a great trip.

Great tour company - I used Meet Mongolia for my airport transfers, a day tour to Terejl and the Khaan statue, and a day city tour of Ulaanbaatar. Everything went very smoothly including communication in advance via WhatsApp. I paid in advance too, which was easily done. The driver was helpful and great and my guide Tugu, who joined on the tour days was informative and engaging. The tour options are pretty standard, and while it was a bit of a drive, adding a visit to a nomad community in Terejl away from the resorts was well worth it on a number of levels. Everything went smoothly and started on time. UB traffic in winter is, frankly, challenging and we did get stuck in this a bit but that is a reality of the city. I visited in mid-winter and while it was very cold, still made for a fascinating trip.
I would certainly recommend Meet Mongolia without reservation.

Must do in ulaanbaatar. - Definitely a must do tour when in ulaanbaatar.
Experiencing the city in winter, with snow gently falling around you, makes it feel truly magical. The sights, the culture, and the atmosphere are unforgettable this tour is a must for anyone visiting Ulaanbaatar. I was amazed by how much you see and experience in just one day. Highly recommend it!

Superb one day introduction to Mongolian culture - This was the best Viator tour I’ve ever booked. I was picked up from my hotel by Zaya, a very professional and well informed multilingual guide; by the end of the day, I felt well steeped in the history and culture of Mongolia and left with an appreciation for the interesting challenges faced by a gentle and shy culture of nomadic horsemen in the modern world. This started with the morning rush hour traffic we faced in a capital that has doubled in size in the past decade as a few especially harsh winters forced more families to move their gers (Mongolian yurts) to the city ahead of major services including a subway or any mass transportation system. Zaya introduced herself to me through WhatsApp in advance of the tour, asking for my preferences and suggesting a slightly earlier start would get us out of the city ahead of some of the traffic - brilliant! I was interested in cultural immersion and Zaya greeted me with my first experience of Airag (a nice savory high protein serving of fermented mare’s milk) made by her aunt in a cowhide bag. We first stopped at a large tourist attraction established by a former President, a giant statue of Chinggis Khan, where I received a very informative history outline of Khan’s lineage and world influence. Zaya smoothly translated between me and a resident historian and he also answered all my questions about the design of Mongolian boots and deel that function so well in horse culture and harsh winters. An elevator to the top of the statue provides a spectacular view of this beautiful austere and treeless landscape. We stopped for a traditional “fast food” lunch at a row of gers that each advertised their offerings with colorful fabric facades. The traditional drink of lightly salted milky tea (suutei tsai) was immediately served and I got my first taste of Buuz, very tasty steamed beef dumplings and two chopped salads. Then we headed into the spectacular Terelj National Park and resort area stopping near Turtle Rock (the site of a much earlier battle between Mongolians Manchus). I had my first ride on a Bactrian camel (easy seating between humps!) and then a brief horse back tour of some of the hilly terrain. We hiked up to a monastery perched part way up the mountain following a well established meditation trail with many Buddhist sayings marking the trail (in Mongolian Cyrillic but all translated into English) - a very profound experience. Along the road back, we stopped for a fun encounter with a retired hunting eagle which I was allowed to hold with a heavy glove (actual eagle and falcon hunting can be experienced in the western part of Mongolia). For the trip back to my hotel at the end of the day, I received a very interesting windshield tour of the downtown government square, shopping area, and museums and a drive by past the President’s official offices and some upscale home developments nearby before crossing the bridge back into town. This was a spectacular and informative experience and I was very fortunate to have such a generous and accommodating guide sharing her love of country and knowledge. I recommend scheduling a tour with this company (Meet Mongolia Tours). More than one day tour is also recommended if you have time (spend a night or two in a ger in the Terelj valley). Visit before it changes and becomes a crowded tourist destination!

Best way for a solo traveler to experience Ulaanbaatar in one day - I only had one day to spend in Ulaanbaatar, and this tour more than exceeded my expectations. My driver Moogii went above and beyond to make sure my trip was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, from offering me water to drink, to even sharing food with me when the grocery store on the way happened to be closed. He knew exactly where to go for each activity/photo spot and how to navigate the incredibly rough roads, and made sure that I never felt rushed or late. Highly recommend this trip, especially for solo travelers with a limited amount of time in Mongolia- thank you again to Moogii and the Meet Mongolia Tours team for making my day such a memorable one!!

Amazing Private Tour to Chinggis Khan Statue & Terelj National Park with the Best Driver! - I had an amazing experience on the private tour to the Chinggis Khan Statue and Terelj National Park. Our driver, Migaa, was absolutely the best! Since it was winter, some parts of the road were quite challenging and required careful driving, but Migaa handled everything safely and skillfully.
He was also genuinely caring and thoughtful throughout the trip, suggesting great spots to take photos and making sure we were comfortable the entire time.
This tour is perfect for couples or families, as it can be customized — for example, you can go horseback riding or enjoy a nice local lunch. I highly recommend this trip! Visiting these places would have been impossible without Migaa’s expertise and kindness.

Tour at your own pace accomodating requests - We booked this tour a few days prior to departing, and the company was responsive in communicating about the pick-up location and driver information when requested. They also helped arrange dog sledding, but unfortunately, it was cancelled on the day, as there were no other customers. This information was well communicated on the messaging option on Tripadvisor throughout the day.
The driver did not speak much English but was courteous and understanding throughout the tour - finding us when we were waiting for the museum to open, as we arrived earlier, and driving through the snow and ice to pick us up at the monastery. The driver also organised the different horse and camel riding experiences.
Lunch at Glory Resort was fantastic as the facilities are clean and modern, and we even got to taste Uzbek food in the restaurant!
Overall, the private tour provided a customisable tour with prompt online responses from the tour company and a driver who prioritised our comfort. The tour did not provide an English interpreter but there were English descriptions on signs at the museum and monastery. It was fun to experience the horse and camel riding, and we'll have to try dog sledding next time.
