Solio Ranch (45,000 acres) is a magnificent savanna nestled between Mt. Kenya and the Aberdare Mountains, both visible from Solio on clear days. Established in 1970, the Solio Game Reserve spans an impressive 19,000 acres and is dedicated to rhino conservation. Here, black and white rhinos coexist harmoniously. Solio Ranch boasts the largest population of white rhinos globally. Rhinos bred here are often relocated to other protected areas across Africa. Other mammals include the African lion, spotted hyena, common impala, leopard, cheetah, and Cape buffalo.

This 6-day rhino conservation safari is dedicated to exploring one of Kenya’s most successful rhino conservancies. Solio Ranch is home to over 250 white rhinos and approximately 80 black rhinos. Additionally, the park’s diverse habitats support a wide variety of species.

Open steppes, bush savannahs, acacia forests, and swamps are home to more than 100 lions, buffalo herds, waterbuck, giraffes, impala herds, and a unique array of birdlife. This park offers ideal opportunities for nature enthusiasts and photographers alike.

During this safari, participants will also visit the Aberdare Mountains, home to the rare giant forest hog. Other highlights include a walk with a wild giraffe herd and a safari in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, which is home to the last two surviving Northern white rhino females.
