Nairobi Safari Walk - The tour begins with a pick-up from your Nairobi Hotel at 8 AM. The first destination is The Nairobi Safari Walk, which provides an insightful introduction to Kenya’s Parks and Reserves. It offers a glimpse of the diverse wildlife you can expect to encounter across the country. Experience Kenya’s rich animal diversity, including the rare bongo, white rhino, albino zebra, various cats, antelopes, and primates. The Safari Walk also features around 150 species of local trees, showcasing their traditional uses. Designed to harmonize with the natural surroundings, the walk is constructed from sisal and gum poles. Even the waste bins and light shades are crafted from these materials to maintain a cohesive look. For those needing a break, benches and shaded areas are available, along with conveniently located water fountains. Safety is ensured with electric fencing, moats, and chain link fences, providing both security and unobstructed views, ensuring animals remain in their designated areas.
-
Nairobi Animal Orphanage - The next stop is the Nairobi Animal Orphanage, which primarily serves as a sanctuary for orphaned, injured, and abandoned wild animals from across the country. The facility houses both native and exotic wildlife in environmentally enriched enclosures, depending on the rescued animals. Visitors may see lions, hyenas, leopards, cheetahs, warthogs, buffalo, various species of apes, guinea fowls, crested cranes, among others.
-
Maasai Market Collections Karen - After an optional lunch (at your own expense), the tour proceeds to the Bomas cultural dance show. Located in Langata, near the main gate to Nairobi National Park, the Bomas cultural center showcases traditional dances and songs from the country’s diverse tribal groups. Performances include Arab-influenced Swahili Taarab music, Kalenjin warrior dances, Embu drumming, and Kikuyu circumcision ceremonies. While it caters to tourists, it remains a spectacular afternoon experience and is a must-visit for all guests. The tour concludes with a return to your Nairobi Hotel.
