My wife and I started our 2025 Kenya trip with Kevin. It was one of the most impactful experiences of our lives. I know God brou - We were especially impressed with Kevin and his brothers genuine desire to help others in this, their community. We could not stop smiling as we met the many residents all smiling to see us. Meeting the school children was the highlight. I feel compelled and empowered by God, called, touched, blessed to help serve God.

A humbling, potential life changing experience! - Simply, OH WOW! What a jarring, eye opening experience to visit the Kibera slum and see the school that is educating the children living there. I must say I was incredibly overwhelmed to see such poverty so up close and personal. I must say that the teachers at the Future Stars Development Centre School are angels walking amongst us and are doing God's work I'm convinced. The heat and the stench left me exhausted and dehydrated so be prepared to take lots of water as there's none there that can be consumed safely. I feel privileged to see how people, who we would think should lose hope and give up, are working hard every day to educate the children living in Kibera. A humbling experience I will never forget!

An intense, but personal tour through the slum - you will learn so much! - I visited Kilbera with my sister a couple if days ago. It was a very enlightening tour, with Kevin. We wandered around the area he grew up in, and without spoiling the visit for others, we learned about life as a youth growing up, about the orphanage and school he supports through his foundation, and how some criminals have turned their life around. We also visited his father Jack, in his home, and chatted about life, parenting, future prospects, and retirement. What a fabulous experience! If you want, bring some cash to donate to the orphanage.

Experience filled with community - My sister and I took Kevin’s tour of Kibera and he was so interesting and informative and obviously so well respected in his community. Kevin gives back to his community through many programs including the school which we visited, home to 250 students including 29 orphans. We also visited his father’s house and shared tea and conversation. I feel that I have a greater understanding of the culture of Kibera and their hope for future generations. I would highly recommend Kevin’s tour.

A Truly Authentic Cultural Experience - This tour offered a truly unique cultural experience. It went beyond the surface and gave real insight into the way of life for the slum residents. Despite limited resources, the sense of community was palpable. Kevin was very engaging and provided safe guidance the entire time. His knowledge and passion for his community is very evident. Love the way he and his brother are giving back to the community. It was a pleasure visiting his family home for tea and meeting his sister and brother. Also loved visiting the school, students and teachers.
Be prepared for alot of walking, sometimes uphill and in narrow spaces. Also, due to a lack of plumbing resources, there may be smells at times. Something to keep in mind if you are sensitive. The experience is 1000% worth it. I booked this tour as a solo traveler and had a great time, especially meeting others on the tour. If you are open to bringing gifts, the community school could use supplies and the children love candy treats.
If you are into immersive, unique, cultural experiences, this is the tour for you. It was an unforgettable experience that I would definitely do again!

Kibera slum tour - An Authentic and Unforgettable Experience
This tour with Kevin was an incredibly eye-opening and informative experience. Kevin, a resident of the Kibera community, provided a truly authentic and meaningful look into daily life there.
During the tour, we visited a crafts workshop where bones are
repurposed into beautiful art. The main marketplace was a vibrant hub of activity. A key part of the tour was the visit to an orphanage school and Kevin's family home, which offered a direct look at community life.
The experience felt authentic and was a valuable learning opportunity. Knowing that a portion of the tour fee supports the local community adds to the tour's positive impact. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Nairobi who wants to gain a better understanding of the Kibera community.
I felt extremely safe with Kevin as everyone in Kibera knew him and was kind towards him and the group.

Thank you so much Kevin.... - Thank you so much Kevin. Communication pre tour excellent, arrived on time for direct hotel pick up. Very informative insight into the way of life in Kibera.. We were taken into a school, met the children, also taken into Kevin’s father’s house where we heard more about life in the slum. Would recommend Kevin to anyone thinking of doing this tour. For people with mobility issues , there is some walking over uneven ground, up and down some slopes.

Eye opening and fun - Walking through this particular village was very eye opening. Kevin still lives here with his family and knows everybody.
It was a Sunday, but Kevin did bring school children to meet me.
People were very friendly - the village was bustling.
I was impressed with the number of small businesses, cleanup efforts, schooling, and all the laughter.
I really liked the tour and will go back next time visit the art and empowerment centers.
Thanks Kevin for your hospitality!
