- Nagoya Castle - Nagoya Castle is right in the heart of Nagoya, and is very famous for its golden shachihoko (a mythical creature with a tiger’s head and carp’s body) figures on the roof. Ieyasu Tokugawa, the first shogun who established the Edo shougunate, built it in 1521. The main part of the castle was rebuilt after the war, and now you can climb to the top to feel like being a shogun to govern the country.

A great tour guide in Nagoya - Sammy was our tour guide and she did a great job. We used the railway for our transportation - visited the Nagoya Castle and the Railway museum. The museum is one not to be missed. At the end of our tour we visited the aquarium right at the port. Sammy very capably showed us around and was certainly very knowledgeable. Our group had a very enjoyable day.

Inuyama Castle with excellent guide - What a fantastic guide! We had a great day with Mieko. She met us at the cruise ship and we took the subway and train to Inuyama Castle. Along the way we stopped for coffee and traditional rice sweets at local shops. She took us to a Temple with a beautiful Sakura (cherry) tree in bloom. We had the place all to ourselves. She was very knowledge, fun and spoke English very well. We highly recommend her.

Nagoya in a day - We had a wonderful day. We loved Nagoya and enjoyed the experience of taking local transportation. Our guide was wonderful and took great care of us. I highly recommend her!

Chillax & fun - Our tourguide Kiyoshi is a perfect guide, from the time he picked us up on time in the hotel, we have felt so comfortable with him.
Kiyoshi, I thank you on behalf of my entire family for accompanying us on all our trips. You are absolutely indispensable because of your knowledge of the nearby places to visit. Your presence makes the already beautiful places many times more interesting.

Awesome experience! Superb guide! - We had an amazing tour experience with Matt! He was very knowledgeable and gave many interesting and informative details during our visit to Inuyama Castle, Atsuta Jingu Shrine, and Nagoya Castle. Lunch at the little eatery he chose was very delicious!

A wonderful tour of key sites in Nagoya - My son and I visited Atsuta Shrine, Tokugawa Art Museum, Nagoya Castle and the Toyota Commemorative Museum based on an itinerary planned by Matt. We had a wonderful day and learnt lots thanks to our ever knowledgeable and friendly (and patient) tour guide, Matt San! Taking public transportation also helped us experience the city even more. Thank you so much for the memorable day. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour.

Matt was amazing. He knew... - Matt was amazing. He knew exactly when to give us details of our visit, and when to let us learn and discover on our own. He helped with managing our luggage in the coin lockers and made sure we hit the train at the right time too. He was precise with timings and made sure we were happy. Amazing day!
