Excellent River Trekking Experience with professional guide - It was an excellent river trekking experience. Nik is so professional, he is familiar with the area. He knew what the exact will be expected, where we could take a break. He even offer an extended route for us, although we didn't make it to the third waterfall, it was still an amazed trekking. The water is so fresh and clean, we feel safe under Nik's leading us. Highly recommended if you are a nature lover.

Coolest adventure ever with the nicest tour guide you can find - This Tour was so amazing. Nik is a great guide and guy and he has a lot of knowledge about Okinawa and its nature. It was really nice to hangout with him for a day and get to know him. The trek was a super cool adventure and nature was impressive. I got a pair of neoprene boots that made it much safer to walk on the wet stones and kept the feet quite warm. On our way up to the waterfalls we saw a couple of interesting animals and beautiful trees. Nik was super kind to take some awesome photos and videos of me and we even climbed on top of the first waterfall to look down, which was really impressive! He also brought some delicious Okinawa treats and hot Roibosh tea, which was super nice. Overall this was a super cool day and I am so glad I booked this tour. I can’t recommend this enough!

Most of Okinawan nature in one day - We booked the river trekking in combination with the mangrove kayaking for March. Before continuing with my detailed review of our experience, I definitely recommend this and the kayaking tour, and would love to do it again. Even before the actual participation date we got in contact with Nik and were able to set everything up, from pick-up, due to lack of a car on our side, to a rough schedule to help us plan our remaining days in Okinawa. He also suggested alternative schedules for our tour if we had plans in the evening as well, and we could personalize our experience if we already had some ideas on our own Few days before the participation date he confirm the exact time, location and schedule, and even suggested other possible dates for a better experience, if possible on both sides. When booking both tours, he also has some great suggestions for food of all kinds. From start to finish, he was incredibly friendly and shared all kind of information about the the place and Okinawa. The trekking location was beautiful, and surprisingly not crowded with tourists. We were able the enjoy the scenery to our full extent, take pictures and have a small tea break. If the weather allowed it, we’d be able to take a plunsh in the waters as well. The trek to the first waterfall was easier and possible for people in all age groups. The route to the second waterfall, and the last location, is much steeper and rocky than the first one. You’ll have to climb over rocks and watch your step as you walk on. But at no point were we in any danger and Nik lead on the path of least resistance. It felt like an adventure and was all worth it in the end for the view alone! The kayaking location deeply depends on weather, wind and tides. For our tour Nik chose the inland sea. He explained everything including on how to deal with waves, so that a fairly new kayaker like myself would still feel safe. He also offered to take pictures for us so we didn’t have to worry about doing so and potentially dropping our phones. For starters we paddled along the coast to get used to the kayak, but also to enjoy the scenery. Breaks are included and Nik also shared some tea and sweets with us, while telling us about the different kind of mangroves growing there. That’s not all and we also got some action by paddling from one shore to the other by crossing a small part of the sea. The route and location was nicely chosen so we didn’t have any head wind. It was exhausting but thrilling and fun. All in all: Incredible experience, great view and great tour guide!

Jungle trekking and kayaking - My husband and I had such a great time with Nik! We highly recommend him and his tours when you are in Okinawa. We started our day with kayaking to the mangroves and then to the corals and ended it with the jungle river trek. The entire experience was showed us the beauty of Okinawa and I only wish we were there longer to experience more of it. Nik offers more tours and my husband and I definitely plan on booking another tour with him the next time we are in Okinawa.

The best experience in Okinawa nature!! - Me and my sister took the jungle trekking and kayak experience tour and it was absolutely amazing:) We got to see two beautiful waterfalls in the mountain regions of northern Okinawa and see the magically mesmerizing environment with a cup of tea and delicious donuts Nick brought! We moved out to the mouth of a river and traced the river back to see the mangrove trees and traditional burial sites of Okinawa's Ryukyu people on the cliffs, and kayaked a bit more in the sea. The whole day was very substantial and energetic. I guarantee this is the best tour if you are looking to get a taste of Okinawa's natural habitat!

Awesome Time! - Nik is a great guide, the river trek was awesome! A good amount of challenge due to the terrain while the pace was slow enough to be safe and enjoy the scenery. Nik brought all the necessary equipment, including water shoes with good grip for the rocks. The river was low and refreshing and the waterfall at the end was a great way to cap it off!

Incredible experience! - This was by far the best tour I have ever been on! Nik was an incredibly friendly and helpful guide. The communication beforehand was flawless and we planned everything perfectly before the tour. He picked us up from Nago and then drove us to a supermarket. He was very relaxed and let us decide at what pace we wanted to do things. After that we drove to the mangroves, where we were on the road for a total of 2-3 hours. We made a short stop at the mangroves and saw a number of animals that you normally only see on TV. For example, blue crabs. Nik brought us a speciality from Okinawa, which tasted very good. There was also a tea from South Africa, which is drunk cold and was very, very tasty! After the kayak tour we drove to a small restaurant nearby. The food was excellent and the people were incredibly friendly. Then we went towards the jungle and dressed for it. We walked through it for about 45 minutes until we reached our destination. We stood in front of a huge waterfall with the option of swimming in the water. We brought our swimming trunks and a towel with us for this. It was one of the most incredible moments of my life to be under the waterfall and to look at it. Here too, Nik brought coffee made from Okinawa beans, which was very tasty! When we had finished swimming, we went back out of the jungle to the car. Afterwards, Nik drove us to a bus stop, which we took back home. I can only thank Nik a thousand times for this incredible experience and wish him all the best! I can only recommend this tour to everyone, an absolute 11/10!

Little chance of discovering this magical place without Nik. - We went up the river bed by climbing the rocks (there was an easier option via the trail). Nik provided us with suitable shoes and he also had K-ways in case of rain. He had also provided hot drinks and biscuits. The organization was therefore perfect. The 2 waterfalls were very beautiful but also all the vegetation that surrounded us, the hot and humid climate allows the development of tropical plants. The place was magical. A big thank you to Nik for his sympathy 🤗

Awesome jungle adventure. - I had the pleasure to experience a combined, full-day solo trip with Nik (kajak + jungle river trek). Everything was well prepared, also thanks to a very detailed and patient communication beforehand. Both parts of the trip were safely arranged. The route for the jungle river trek was chosen due to the personal fitness level on that day. Thanks a lot Nik for a wonderful expedition and amazing experience, for sharing your knowledge about the nature, for saving me from a heat stroke by providing a spare hat that I forgot to bring. And thank you for plenty of cookies and laughs :)
