See a rural life of Fiji - Great tour to see rural life of Fiji. Tour starts at 8:30 AM from your hotel and you're going directly east from Nadi to the Highlands. From there you have few stops for photos with great views (can even see Mamanuca Islands from up there) and reach village by around 11 AM. On the way you also buying lollipops for the village kids. Locals will show you around and then you will have lunch. I also had a lot of kava before lunch. After the tour you reach hotel by around 2:30 PM and having a whole afternoon for yourself.

No what was promised - Enjoyed trip to village and had a very good lunch. Unfortunately we didn’t visit the school or waterfall. No explanation given. Tour only took 3 1/2 hours not 5/6. Not happy will change of itinerary without consultation

Disappointing experience - Disappointing tour for my experience: it started off well with a prompt pick up and we headed towards the Nausori highlands: beautiful landscapes along the way and could ask the driver to stop for photos. (Do ask for stops along the way otherwise the only stop is at the top and not the best view in my opinion). After which the next stop should have been a village with a school and lunch at the village. This is where things took an unexpected turn: I was then told the village could not receive me so he would then drive me to the mud pool instead! And no school visit because it was the holidays for the kids! What a surprise: I paid for this tour because I wanted a different and authentic experience! And I ended up exactly where I didn’t want to: the mud pool! Since I expressed my disappointment, the owner brought me to his small village behind the pools and I could have a glimpse of their lives. They did a kava ceremony at the mud pool area and served me lunch there: a tuna sandwich with French fries… let’s be honest that’s far from the expected lunch with locals…
