Take This Tour - Loved it! Witty and informative narration, lots of wildlife and bird sightings, nice pace with time to take photos along the way. Highly recommended! A nice day out on the river. Good history lesson, as well.

Wonderful River Wildlife and Eco Tour. - Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about not only the wildlife and the environment but also about the history of the area. We saw an abundance of wildlife on this trip and we were able to see alligators and osprey up close. Would go again next time we visit.

Great locals guided tour - Our guides were so personable and informative. Learned about history and nature and got a great review for a “locals” restaurant - Socastee station. It was a perfect day.

Don't Miss This Tour! - Captains Michelle and Sid are professional, funny and extremely knowledgeable about their environment. This tour should be on EVERYONE'S list of things to do in the area, especially if you have kids. The birds, turtles and gators on the river are awesome.

Beautiful without Edit!! - The Waccamaw River Nature & Wildlife Tour was absolutely serine, beautiful and interesting. One caution though as a person of color. I suggest the tour guides refrain from telling the story of the people of West Africa, who were violently captured and enslaved against their will. They did not accompany the Colonist for a tour of the America’s looking forward to a life of enslavement. It was just unnecessary to tell and uncomfortable to hear. It was an horrific time in the US. Let’s tell the truth and continue forward.

The visit that wasn't - Although some of this was my fault as we didn't read the fine print that said to arrive 30 minutes, we were very disappointed that upon arriving 2 MINUTES late, the boat took off without us. It was in our sight and no more than 100 feet from the pier when the captain was called and asked to return to pick us up, but he refused. Also in the fine print, it states that if we were FIVE minutes late, we would have missed the boat. Apparently, they don't abide by their fine print, either, but we are the ones out $80, as they refused to refund our money
