Fresh drinking water gushes from the rock face, making this a must-see destination. This experience includes organized transportation to the site, followed by a brief hike down around 300 steps to the water stream, where the fun begins. Donning wetsuits, participants will follow the stream upwards to discover a stunning, truly STUNNING natural lagoon. From this point, snorkels are used to swim further into the cave, reaching the impressive waterfall. After a rejuvenating swim and a fruit snack, the group will hike back up via a different path of about 100 steps.

Fantastic day - An Adrenaline Experience, full of adventure with the whole family.
Very cold water and fabulous scenery, for those who love nature very recommended, along with a little 'training between walking and resistance to cold water cold.+++++++ Guide top!!

Kourtaliotiko Plakias Falls - Unique experience. Really amazing to be able to swim in a river waterfall. Diving staff really helpful and nice. I recommend it

Nice trip - By means of a wet suite and a snorkel set, we were allowed to view the waterfall with a group. Under supervision you can get close, which makes for a wonderful experience.
The area is a bit touristy, but it is worth looking through. Keep in mind that the steaming water has a low temperature.
The supervisors were extremely pleasant and provided a nice, but also safe Mood.

Refreshing snorkeling experience - Had a very nice experience under the guidance of Sophie, Kylian and Tom. They take their time and are very helpful. We had a very good time. It was nothing short of a nice trip to do. Thank you so much!

Absulute recommendation even with small children - It was a nice change from the beach day. The cool water and the two guides were super nice and made this trip even more beautiful than it already was.

An experience - A beautiful experience. But a lot of waste time to start with wet suits etc..
We therefore reached the cave only once, instead of the normal 2 times.

Amazing — if challenging — experience! - This was quite the adventure! The guides confident and knowledgeable, which made the trip possible. Our kids really enjoyed the experience, but be aware this is not a simple hike! The day we went it was intensely windy, which made even the hike down to the water very challenging. We were grateful for the wetsuits, because the water was indeed cold! But clear and clean and fresh — a really amazing experience! Be sure everyone are confident swimmers. The guides take pictures, which I encourage you to plan to buy at the end for 20€ — you don’t want to try to bring anything with you, as you need your hands for the climbing/swimming!
My teens really loved this, and my 8 year old had a good experience too, but did need a little help with the swimming — which the guides were happy to offer.
And read a little about Saint Nicholas Kourtaliotis, the Ascetic of Crete (+ 1670) — who is credited with opening all this fresh water in a time of great drought.

Nice experience, but seems overpriced - The waterfall is worth experiencing! It's at the bottom of a deep valley. Wild-growing thyme and salvia give a good scent.
In Plakias you get a wet suit, dive mask and snorkel, and easy insertion. Then you drive 15 minutes, drop off and walk about 20 minutes, past a chapel, and then you switch to a wet suit.
There were hundreds of visitors in the water when we arrived. We, about ten wet-dressed tourists, were the only ones with a dive mask and snorkel. The water held 16 degrees (+30 in the air), so the wet suit was comfortable. One swims inward and is finally almost at the waterfall. There were only we who came right before and under the waterfalls, there is a stronger current and a line is needed to get there.
Nice instructors followed us carefully all the way. They took pictures, which cost 20 euros. We recommend bringing the camera yourself, the quality is not worse, but remember to have a waterproof bag!
The experience was great. Measured against the price (84 euros per person) it is a little more doubtful if we repeat this. Even not one orange along the way, is enough to offset just that impression.
