Stone Town - Day 1: Arrival in Zanzibar
Upon arrival in Zanzibar, we will pick you up from the airport and take you to Tembo House hotel for bed and breakfast and your overnight stay. -
Zanzibar Island - Day 2: Prison Island & Nakupenda Island
At Prison Island, you’ll have the chance to see the tortoise sanctuary, which is home to a group of massive tortoises brought over from Seychelles in the late 1800s. These tortoises typically weigh around 200 kilograms, and some are believed to be more than 150 years old. You’ll be able to interact with them and snap some pictures. The island also boasts a flock of stunning peacocks. Following an afternoon return, we’ll drive you back to Stone Town to spend another night at Tembo House hotel. -
Stone Town - Day 3: City Tour Stone Town + Spice Plantation Tour
Post-breakfast, embark on a 3-hour guided tour of Stone Town, where our guide will show you all the significant sites and scenic spots. After exploring Stone Town’s history, it’s a short 15-minute drive to the Spice Plantation Center for a tour lasting at least 3 hours. Here, you’ll learn about the various spices grown in Zanzibar. You’ll be amazed to discover that a single Cinnamon Tree can produce three distinct scents, or that the same plant yields green, red, and black pepper. Can you identify vanilla and understand why it’s so pricey? Once the tour concludes, laden with newfound knowledge of nature’s wonders, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase spices, handmade soaps, and creams directly from the farm’s community. Additionally, enjoy a session on traditional weaving. Afterwards, your driver will take you to Nungwi Beach for your stay at Smiles beach hotel with half board. -
