Upon arrival, guests are warmly welcomed at the host’s doorstep and escorted upstairs to their living quarters. The experience begins in the living room, where guests enjoy Omani dates and coffee, in keeping with Omani tradition.
During this time, there is an opportunity to engage in conversation and meet the entire host family. Following this, guests are led to the terrace where a buffet awaits. Each dish is introduced with a brief explanation of its origin and history before dining commences. While enjoying the meal, discussions cover a variety of topics, including travel, Oman, and shared experiences. Afterward, guests are treated to juices or teas and an Omani dessert. Before departure, frankincense is burned as per Omani tradition to bid guests farewell, and they are accompanied downstairs with warm wishes for a pleasant stay in Oman.
