Highly recommended company - Excellent day out with River Rats and my 8 year old son. I grew up locally seeing the River Rats rafts on local rivers and always wanted to go on a trip. I've not done most of them but this one was extra special as I was able to do it with my mini me.

An amazing day out! - Firstly thank you again to Justin and the crew for the day on the water it's one we won't forget soon. The day started at Murupara where we got detailed briefs on the days activities and also the safety on the river. We had multiple anxious people on this trip that were afraid of the water or could not swim but the guides were able to keep them calm and reassure them they will be the first ones to be rescued if the worst happened. A quick van ride to the start of the river and we were into it. The river itself was humming, with great water flow this made for a exhilarating trip. It had a good mix of big drops and more technical rapids so that was awesome and kept everyone engaged throughout. The guides were professional and entertaining which made for a safe and enjoyable day for all involved. I had a blast as did everyone on our trip and we will definitely be back. Cheers guys.

Great fun! - Great family fun rapids. Really well organised. Super fun to jump out and float down the river, and some gorgeous waterfalls. Delicious lunch and great side trip to some Māori carvings 😄

Must do white River rafting with kids - Amazing experience, we wanted to do grade 5 but since kids are young we did grade 2 Rangitaiki rafting..we were not disappointed at all..great experience a must do..thanks Justin for a amazing experience

AWESOME Family trip ! - Justin was amazing - we had a family trip and a very nervous mum and 10 yr old - Justin was amazing at putting us at ease, making it super fun, relaxed and totally enjoyable. Would highly recommend River Rats - they take care to make you feel super comfortable, and also provide lots of info during the trip, with some little excursions along the way. A great family day out!!

Rangatiki River Grade Two - A great time! Justin, our guide, was really fun and very experienced. He communicated well and did a great job with the kids, who loved it. There were several opportunities to jump in and float through some rapids, which was great. The scenery along the way is stunning, which made for some great photos. A really fantastic family experience, thanks Justin!

Excellent fun for the whole family - This was a fantastic trip for the family. The kids were able to play and swim very safely at many places on our way down the river and loved floating through the rapids and jumping off the raft! The river is amazing with great places to stop along the way for photos and a drink of spring water straight from the rock face! Our guide Justin was friendly and professional and made he trip so much fun for the kids. He was very knowledgeable of the area and made the transfers from hotel and assembly area really interesting with all his local knowledge and entertaining stories! A perfect day out for the family We look forward to doing it again!
