Four wonderful days in Munich - Munich is absolutely worth the visit. Not only is it a beautiful city but it offers many things to do and see. We also went to the Dacau memorial, a very educational experience

October 2023 Munich Trip - For us Hop On Hop Off buses are an excellent way to send some time on your arrival day after a transatlantic flight. You get the lay of the land in a new city/locations for key places to visit without have to put in much effort. This was the case for us in Munich. The check in point for this Hop On Hop Off bus company was a short walk from our hotel. The two routes and audio commentary (in English) was exactly what we hoped it would be. We would recommend this company.

good tour - We enjoyed this bus tour which allowed us to get off and on at the stops we chose. By taking the big tour we were able to go to the Nymphenburg Palace and see the magnificent exteriors and gardens that we wouldn't have had time to do otherwise. Note the meeting point is a small blue van where you have to exchange the vouchers for the final ticket and the GALERIA store which is given as a reference point on the vouchers no longer exists... But you can't miss the buses , they see each other from afar. For us, a very good tour with audiophones that worked well in French.

Disorganised and not worth the money - We were very disappointed by Big Bus Tours Munich, especially as we have previously had good experiences with Big Bus Tours in Vienna and London. One of the audio outlets didn't work, forcing a change of seat on a very crowded bus. Unlike other tours, the audio was often silent, causing many passengers to ask if it was working. The commentary did not announce the stops, so the driver spoke over the audio when and if he remembered to announce the arrival. The audio commentary itself was confusing and out of sync with the bus route - at one stage it described a land mark on our left when it was to our right and another time a land mark was described as in front of the bus when it was directly behind the bus. We had booked on New Year's Eve and when we alighted at the first stop there was a small note that the last bus was at 3PM - not 5:30PM as advertised. There was no mention of this on the website and it was not mentioned at the time of boarding. This meant that we were only able to get off the bus at one attraction.

I advise against drivers who don't like their job. I was attacked by a driver because she was on a break, he had become aggressive and even pushed me, I strongly advise against it. I denounced his actions, I wanted to take a photo of him and it was hidden. I never heard back from the service. I was not refunded either because I requested a refund.

Useless and expensive - They do a tour that you pay 56 Euros (for two) to take you to 3 or 4 places that you reach by metro with a Metro day ticket (7.50 Euros). Furthermore, at 5.00 pm the service ends and they leave you at the first stop useful to them, without taking you back to the starting point. To be carefully avoided

Better off avoiding this service - Avoid this service. Round trip for Munich city route was supposed to be 60 minutes but was more like 40-45. The onboard narrative was out of sync and very sparse with long gaps of silence even when passing obviously interesting buildings. At least one of the stops was skipped completely and only one bus appeared to be in service not the two that they advertise. We waited for 20 minutes beyond the scheduled time before the bus finally arrived at the stop we were waiting at. When we got back the other bus was sitting vacant and no driver, we then had to wait around 20 minutes for the bus we were on to set off again. Seemed like we saw the red city tours every where we went, might be better off with them.

Please select another provider - Unfortunately, I didn't read the reviews beforehand, otherwise I would have gladly paid more with another provider. The driver was totally unfriendly and drove like crazy, even honking at other cars... Unbelievable! As a result, we had already passed the attractions long before we could hear the commentary. 2 stops were not served due to construction work, but this was not mentioned beforehand. A complete rip-off and really not recommended. You don't get a good impression of Munich and wonder whether the city has more to offer.
